A former teammate of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah has moved closer to joining him at Turkish side Trabzonspor, after reaching a verbal agreement for a free transfer, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.<\/p>\n
Brazilian international Fabinho became a free agent following his departure from Saudi club Al-Ittihad this summer. Romano said, via his account on “X”, that the midfielder is preparing to travel to Trabzon within the next 24 to 48 hours, with a medical appointment booked ahead of completing the deal, should proceedings go according to plan.<\/p>\n

Fabinho joined from Monaco in 2018, before leaving in the summer of 2023 for Al-Ittihad.<\/p>\n During that spell, the Brazilian was one of the key players in the side that was crowned Champions League winners in 2019 and Premier League champions in 2019-2020, among other titles.<\/p>\n Salah has featured in two matches for Trabzonspor so far.
