A car was driven into a home in East Renfrewshire.<\/p>\n
A car has smashed into a home near Glasgow on the same day the violent gang war reignited in the city.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to Low Borland Way near Eaglesham, in East Renfrewshire, after the vehicle collided<\/a> with a home before driving off at around 1.20pm on Friday, August 21. A large police<\/a> cordon was put in place yesterday following the incident and the property has now been fenced off.<\/p>\n Photos taken at the scene show the two-storey property with a temporary fence encompassing the front garden. The wall and front door have been visibly damaged by the impact, with brickwork moved out of place and a black scar above where the car has ploughed into the building.<\/p>\n The Record understands that officers are not ruling out links to Operation Portaledge – Police Scotland’s investigation into gangland activity across the central belt. We told yesterday how fresh attacks were understood to have been ordered by bosses of the notorious Lyons crime<\/a> clan against members of their rivals, the Daniels family.<\/p>\n Brickwork has been smashed at the front of the home.<\/p>\n Senior members of the Lyons gang are believed to have instructed Ross McGill’s Tamo Junto (TMJ) to launch the revenge attacks after the slaying of Eddie Lyons Jnr and Ross Monaghan in the Costa Del Sol last year.<\/p>\n The first attack took place on the city’s Curzon Street during the early hours of Friday morning before the hoods are believed to have travelled to Honeywell Drive in Stepps. Sources told the Record the TMJ footsoldiers ripped into the first property in Glasgow’s Maryhill before trashing the home in their pursuit for Ronnie.<\/p>\n The TMJ gang then travelled to Stepps in an attempt to target Robert but he managed to flee the scene. A source told the Record: “A gang wearing balaclavas and carrying machetes <\/a>kicked in the door of a house last night looking for Ronnie.<\/p>\n \u201cThey ripped the place apart and trashed the house and a heavy police presence has been on the scene ever since. The Lyons and TMJ gang are desperate to claim a serious scalp <\/a>and Robert was then chased near his home last night by the same gang.<\/p>\n \u201cThings have escalated again and the word on the street is this is the Lyons now trying to get revenge for what happened to Ross Monaghan and Eddie Lyons last year<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Damage to a home in East Renfrewshire after it was hit by a car.<\/p>\n Ross Monaghan and Eddie Lyons Jnr were shot and killed in a targeted execution at Monaghans Bar in Fuengirola on May 31 last year. The double murder marked one of the most violent episodes during the gang war, which exploded <\/a>in Scotland last year after crime kingpin Mark Richardson’s cronies <\/a>ripped off Ross McGill with fake notes in a botched \u00a3500,000 cocaine deal.<\/p>\n Violence has now reignited just weeks after Police Scotland<\/a> claimed the gang war had come to an end. The force said the feud had concluded after a \u201cresolution of differences\u201d between those involved. Operation Portaledge, which was launched in response to the gang warfare, has attended 84 separate incidents and resulted in 64 arrests.<\/p>\n A Police Scotland<\/a> spokesperson said: “Around 1.20pm on Friday, August 21, we received a report of a vehicle striking a property in Low Borland Way, Eaglesham. There are no reports of any injuries.
