Harry and Meghan may decide to move on again quickly after spending some time living in the UK, according to reports.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, it was revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be setting up a British home for the first time in more than six years later this month.<\/p>\n
The move will ensure their two children, Archie and Lilibet, start the new school<\/a> year in the UK \u2013 with the specific location kept tightly under wraps.<\/p>\n But a story in the Sunday Times<\/a> suggests Harry and Meghan\u2019s return may not be permanent.<\/p>\n Two sources \u2018close to the Sussexes\u2019 told the paper that the couple did not expect their move to be \u2018for ever\u2019.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tSign up for all of the latest stories\t\t\t<\/p>\n Start your day informed with Metro’s News Updates<\/a><\/strong> newsletter or get Breaking News<\/a> <\/strong>alerts the moment it happens. <\/p>\n One is quoted saying: \u2018It\u2019ll be an extended period of time \u2014 it could be six months, it could be a year, it could be more \u2014 I don\u2019t think even they know yet.\u2019<\/p>\n They added: \u2018They might suddenly go: \u201cWhy don\u2019t we try Canada<\/a> for a while? Why don\u2019t we try Australia<\/a>?\u201d\u2018<\/p>\n Such a rapid departure from the UK would be surprising, after Harry spent recent years repeatedly saying how much he misses his home country.<\/p>\n The move will also make it easier for the duke to visit his father King Charles<\/a> and introduce his family to his other relatives \u2013 though any hopes for a rapprochement between him and his brother William may be premature.<\/p>\n Royal expert Duncan Lanscombe told Metro<\/strong> earlier he \u2018can\u2019t see any reconciliation with William as far as things stand\u2019 after everything Harry and Meghan made a number of accusations during their time away.<\/p>\n He said: \u2018Harry told [ITV<\/a>] in his interview, that the ball was effectively in the royal court \u2013 it was for them to reach out.<\/p>\n \u2018I think William feels the exact opposite and that he\u2019s owed an apology, his wife\u2019s owed an apology, and if Harry and Meghan don\u2019t give that apology and make the effort, I don\u2019t think there\u2019s any hope for the end of the rift.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t It was previously reported that Meghan had been offered a role in the Netflix<\/a> series The Gentlemen \u2013 created by her friend Guy Ritchie \u2013 for her return to the UK.<\/p>\n But reports suggest this is no longer the case<\/a> following backlash to the casting.<\/p>\n Well-connected royal author Tina Brown wrote on X yesterday: \u2018I have heard that Meghan Markle<\/a>\u2019s role in Guy Ritchie\u2019s Netflix series The Gentlemen is OFF. <\/p>\n \u2018Public backlash was too fierce.
