COUNTRY star Derek Ryan is set to return to Scotland next month as part of a four-date run of shows.<\/p>\n
The Enniskillen singer will kick off the Scottish tour at the Buccleuch Centre in Landholm on Thursday, September 24, before travelling to Inverness for a show at Eden Court Theatre the following evening.<\/p>\n
Derek will then perform at the Thainstone Centre in Inverurie on Saturday, September 26, where fans can enjoy a special dance event.<\/p>\n
The Scottish trip will conclude at Eastwood Park Theatre in Glasgow on Sunday, September 27.<\/p>\n
The announcement comes during another busy period for the popular country star, who has continued to balance new music with an extensive live schedule.<\/p>\n
Derek recently released his latest single, \u2018Plough On Paddy\u2019, a feel-good track written with rising country artist Jack Keogh and songwriter Gerry Carney.<\/p>\n
The upbeat song celebrates hardworking characters and the spirit of Irish summer nights, with Derek describing the writing session as great fun.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom the minute we finished it, we knew it had a real summer feel to it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can\u2019t wait for everyone to hear it and hopefully we\u2019ll see plenty of dancing to it over the next few months!\u201d<\/p>\n
The new release followed a successful Beat in the Heat trip to Torremolinos, where Derek performed alongside a packed line-up of entertainment.<\/p>\n
He has also had a busy run of live appearances, including a headline slot at the Farmers Bash at Belsonic in Belfast, while his Songwriter Tour has offered audiences a more intimate experience.<\/p>\n
Derek, who lives in Enniskillen, has also curated a special YouTube playlist featuring acoustic versions of some of his best-known songs.<\/p>\n
