A teenager was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Tameside<\/a>.<\/p>\n Emergency services were called out to Victoria Street in Newton<\/a>, Hyde<\/a>, at 4.25pm on Monday (May 19).<\/p>\n Greater Manchester Police<\/a> says it was called out to reports of a collision involving a car and an e-bike.<\/p>\n The rider of the e-bike, a 17-year-old boy, suffered serious leg and arm injuries from the collision.<\/p>\n He was taken to hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n GMP says the driver of the car remained at the scene to assist officers with their enquiries.<\/p>\n No arrests have been made in connection with the collision so far.<\/p>\n Images from the scene show a cordon in place near to the junction of Talbot Road and Matley Lane.<\/p>\n Multiple GMP vehicles were in attendance at the scene and traffic was urged to avoid the area.<\/p>\n Officers remained in attendance for a number of hours on Monday evening.<\/p>\n —<\/p>\n Day in day out, our reporters in the Manchester Evening News newsroom bring you remarkable stories from all aspects of Mancunian life.
