Our two biggest settlements have been named among the best in the world when it comes to walkability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/edinburgh\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"EdinburghLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Edinburgh<\/a> and Glasgow have been included in a top 100 global list by travel platform <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.guruwalk.com\/top-100-best-walking-cities-2025-the-best-destinations-of-the-year-to-discover-on-foot\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"GuruWalkLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">GuruWalk<\/a>, thanks to their architecture, culture, and interesting and historical routes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">When it comes to exploring a city, nothing beats discovering it on foot. From the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/edinburgh-castle\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"CastleLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Castle<\/a> to the Royal Mile, the city invites you to explore it at a leisurely pace. Every corner here feels magical!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Visitors to the capital can take part in free themed walks, including ghosts and mysteries of the Royal Mile, a Mary Queen of Scots tour, a Harry Potter-themed route and even a Trainspotting-inspired walk through Leith.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Further down the list, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/glasgow\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"GlasgowLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Glasgow<\/a> secured 91st place, continuing to charm with its cultural buzz and striking architecture. GuruWalk said: \u201cRome tops this ranking once again.
