Hollyoaks has revealed danger for three iconic characters in an upcoming road trip that takes a sinister turn. As Mercedes McQueen, Ste Hay and Leela Lomax prepare to take a trip, they are unaware that someone has been plotting behind the scenes. <\/p>\n

Viewers know that Ste is searching for the truth about what happened to his late husband Rex. This week<\/a>, he suspects that his ex James paid a man called Martin to kill Rex, and he is determined to get answers. Meanwhile, Gemma recently told Jenson, who we\u2019ve just learned is an undercover police officer<\/a>, to get rid of Mercedes because she wants to win Warren back. <\/p>\n

In scenes set to air next week, it seems Gemma will take matters into her own hands as her plan to win Warren over unfolds. As a pent-up Ste attempts to steer Jonah away from his new friend James, Jonah offers Ste a drink to take the edge off, unaware that he is sober.<\/p>\n

Ste relapses and publicly confronts James at Casa McQueen, accusing his ex-husband of killing Rex. Warren tries to defuse the situation after Cindy adds more fuel to the fire. <\/p>\n

James looks after a drunken Ste, though it remains unclear whether he is being protective or possessive. <\/p>\n

Leah is worried when she realises Ste didn\u2019t return home last night. She finds Ste, grief-stricken and hungover, still determined to uncover the truth about what happened to Rex.<\/p>\n

Gemma gives Mercedes a spa day voucher for the next day, and Mercedes invites Leela and Ste, hoping it will distract Ste from his grief.<\/p>\n

Gemma waves off the spa-goers Mercedes, Leela and Ste as her sinister plan becomes clear \u2013 to get rid of Mercedes for good. <\/p>\n

Gemma is seen sending her men to follow the car as she enjoys some alone time with Warren.<\/p>\n

En route to the spa, Ste forces them to stop at a service station for a bathroom break as the men tasked with kidnapping Mercedes watch on.<\/p>\n

In the parked car, Leela and Mercedes talk about relationships, family woes and village gossip, unaware of the danger parked nearby. <\/p>\n

Hollyoaks<\/strong> airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its <\/strong>Channel 4 streaming<\/strong><\/a> premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.<\/strong><\/p>\n
