{"id":116956,"date":"2025-05-20T11:40:15","date_gmt":"2025-05-20T11:40:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/116956\/"},"modified":"2025-05-20T11:40:15","modified_gmt":"2025-05-20T11:40:15","slug":"summer-must-be-on-its-way-as-king-charles-and-queen-camilla-keep-a-traditional-date-night","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/116956\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer must be on its way as King Charles and Queen Camilla keep a traditional date night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>King Charles and Queen Camilla have kept up a royal tradition with a date night that\u2019s been in their diary for years.<\/p>\n<p>However, they had to take other members of the Royal Family with them for this annual evening out which signals summer is truly on it way.<\/p>\n<p>The King and Queen popped into the Chelsea Flower Show, with Charles III\u2019s brother, the Duke of Edinburgh alongside them. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were also there.<\/p>\n<p>    <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IIM-25956-0046-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-210451\"  \/>i-Images\/ Pool   <\/p>\n<p>Their Majesties met several special guests, including some four legged friends as they visited a garden designed by one of the country\u2019s best known horticulturalists, Monty Don, and inspired by dogs. The Dog Garden includes shady trees for pets to lie under, water to wallow in and some special dog friendly lawns.   It\u2019s been created by BBC Radio 2 and the organisers of the Chelsea Show, the RHS.<\/p>\n<p>In a sweet nod to the Royal Family\u2019s passion for pets, the names of some of the dogs owned by King Charles and Queen Camilla have been etched into a brick work path in the garden.<\/p>\n<p>    <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IIM-25956-0004-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-210450\"  \/>i-Images\/ Pool   <\/p>\n<p>The first Flower Show was first held at Royal Hospital, Chelsea in 1912 although a similar event had taken place at smaller venues in west London before that. It quickly became a major spring event in London and marks the unofficial start of the summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>King Charles and Queen Camilla were given a sneak preview of the gardens on show ahead of official opening. <\/p>\n<p>They also met up with a familiar face as David Beckham helped welcome them to Chelsea, He was wearing a \u201dKing\u2019s Rose\u201d in his buttonhole.
