As we shared in our <a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/plog\/billy-sinkford-btchn-32-made-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">pre-MADE interview with the event\u2019s director<\/a>, Billy Sinkford, MADE will be relocating to the Oregon Convention Center for 2027, just a three-mile bike ride north along the Willamette River. The weathered rusty backdrops, miles of concrete, and open-air venue certainly created a vibe, but if the framebuilders and brands continue to show up, then I\u2019m sure the MADE bike show will return in a bigger and better way next year. <\/p>\n<p>With that, I\u2019m pleased to present our fifth roundup of bicycles and other interesting finds from the 2026 MADE bike show. This massive roundup features 13 amazing bikes, upcoming products, new components, and more from Bantam Bicycle Works, Neuhaus Metalworks, Wilde Bicycle Co., Peter Verdone, MOOTS, Ron\u2019s Bikes\/Ultradynamico, Mica Cycles, White Industries, Stinner, Brooks England, Ahearne Cycles, and Page Street Cycles. Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>Bantam Bicycle Works<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bantambicycles.com\/\" class=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">link<\/a><br \/>\nPortland, Oregon<\/p>\n<p>Bantam Bicycles of Portland, Oregon, is another talented builder that has attended every MADE bike show since the beginning. Each year, owner Bob Kamzelski shows up with a collection of new builds, displaying two decades of experience fabricating, repairing, and modifying bikes. What I like most about his bikes are the balance of playfulness with exceptional craftsmanship. They\u2019re practical, undeniably well-made, and are often driven by curiosity or inspired by some sort of unique ask from a customer. We documented two of Bob\u2019s bikes at the show. First up is a rigid 32-inch mountain bike that a repeat customer ordered. The name \u201cBantam\u201d comes from the Bantam rooster, which is a smaller breed of chicken. The customer is 6\u20194\u2033, which is significantly taller than Bob, who thinks it\u2019s a good application for the larger wheel size.<\/p>\n<p>The frame is fully fillet brazed, so it took some serious time for Bob to put it together. The chainstays and seatstays are custom-bent, and Bob is especially proud of how the bottom bracket junction turned out. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot more going into that than it looks,\u201d Bob told us. The seat tube was offset forward to provide more room for the 32-inch wheel, dropping the chainstays below the seat tube-downtube junction. The tubes are all mitered into each other and into the bottom bracket, so it\u2019s very structurally stable. Like any good show bike, it\u2019s finished with a shiny Madrone derailleur and polished White Industries cranks and headset. The bike is rolling on Astral Outback 32-inch wheels, which are a little narrower than the Astral Jester that were specced on the 32-inch Sour <a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/bikes\/sour-pasta-party-32-review\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">I reviewed earlier this year<\/a>. The frame bag is an made from a recycled chicken feed bag by Lords Luggage in Portland, which continues the Bantam theme perfectly. <\/p>\n<p>Bantam Big Jim<\/p>\n<p>The Big Jim is Bantam\u2019s stock-sized, singlespeed mountain bike. The name comes from the old BBC video \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/news\/big-jims-big-boozy-bike-trip-to-braemar-video\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BIG JIM\u2019s Big BOOZY Bike Trip to Braemar,<\/a>\u201d where Big Jim Collie takes on a massive 60-mile ride over a mountain on his singlespeed for a bootie call. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/bantam-bicycle-works-made-2026_10.jpg\" class=\"media-img\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/bantam-bicycle-works-made-2026_10-2000x1334.jpg\" alt=\"Bantam Bicycle Works 2026 MADE bike show\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1334\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-270834\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Big Jim is designed around 27.5\u2033 wheels, rim brakes, and has clearance for 2.4\u2033 tires. It features laser-cut horizontal dropouts for singlespeeding, and is fabricated from Columbus steel tubing. The stunning matching stem was custom-made for this particular bike, and really helps amplify what is essentially a fairly \u201csimple\u201d bike. Well done, Bob!<\/p>\n<p>Neuhaus Metalworks<a href=\"https:\/\/neuhausmetalworks.com\/\" class=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">link<\/a><br \/>\n Novato, California<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve seen Nick Neuhaus, founder of Neuhaus Metalworks, a lot this year. Ahead of this year\u2019s Sea Otter Classic, <a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/plog\/inside-neuhaus-metalworks\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miles stopped by their workshop<\/a> in Marin County, California, for an early look at some of their show bikes and an inside peek at how they\u2019ve achieved success in a short amount of time. Whortly thereafter, they had several bikes scattered across brand\u2019s booths at Sea Otter, and we caught up with designer\/engineer Daniel Yang to learn more about all their new bikes. Watch Neil\u2019s interview with Daniel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wlfBWKMtlZg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/neuhaus-750d-made-2026_3.jpg\" class=\"media-img\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/neuhaus-750d-made-2026_3-2000x1334.jpg\" alt=\"neuhaus 750d made 2026\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1334\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-270851\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Neuhaus didn\u2019t have a booth at MADE either, but they built up something extra special for the folks at Enduro Bearings, signifying the brand\u2019s interest in a forgotten wheel size: 750d or 30.5\u2033. At the inaugural MADE show in 2023, Moots snatched up some early attention with a custom Routt CRD built up with prototype WTB 750d wheels and 750 x 40mm Nano Raptor tires. There was seemingly very little movement after the show, with the industry jumping on 32\u2033 instead, but Daniel has said again and again that 750d or 30.5\u2033 wheels are actually a more realistic wheel size for the masses, since 32\u2033 is too big for most riders. <\/p>\n<ul class=\"thumblist-2col\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/neuhaus-750d-made-2026_12.jpg\" class=\"media-img\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/neuhaus-750d-made-2026_12-960x640.jpg\" alt=\"neuhaus 750d made 2026\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-270856\"  \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/neuhaus-750d-made-2026_9.jpg\" class=\"media-img\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/neuhaus-750d-made-2026_9-960x640.jpg\" alt=\"neuhaus 750d made 2026\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-270857\"  \/><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to Nick, they\u2019ve been interested in 750d because it allows them to maintain the geometry of their gravel bikes, instead of veering into the realm of drop-bar mountain bikes. Merit in Europe jumped on the 750d train a few years ago, so they worked with Neuhaus on some semi-deep carbon rims. Neuhaus\u2019s goal is to make a big effort to understand the wheel size, its limitations, and its capabilities. Daniel even raced his 750d gravel bike at the Lost and Found Gravel Grinder earlier this summer, and although the WTB Nano Raptor tires are the only 750d tires available, they have enough of them to test prototypes without worrying. Neuhaus has had a busy year, but it sounds like there\u2019s still more to come. Nick said they have some exciting new titanium bikes coming this fall, designed around \u201cbig wheels\u201d and 29\u2033 setups. <\/p>\n<p>Wilde Bicycle Co.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wildebikes.com\/\" class=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">link<\/a><br \/>\n Minneapolis, Minnesota<\/p>\n<p>Wilde Bicycle Co. is one of the few brands at MADE that offers both US-made and Taiwan-made bicycles. Wilde\u2019s owner, Jeffrey Frane, was the original founder of All-City Cycles, but eventually branched off to forge his own path with no limits or constraints. Wilde\u2019s full-time framebuilder, Brad Wilson, built bikes under the name Capricorn Bicycles after honing his skills at Waterford Precision Cycles. <\/p>\n<ul class=\"thumblist-2col\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/wilde-bicycles-co-made-2026_24.jpg\" class=\"media-img\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/wilde-bicycles-co-made-2026_24-960x640.jpg\" alt=\"wilde 2026 made bike show\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-271732\"  \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/wilde-bicycles-co-made-2026_1.jpg\" class=\"media-img\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/wilde-bicycles-co-made-2026_1-960x640.jpg\" alt=\"wilde 2026 made bike show\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-271731\"  \/><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Wilde\u2019s production bikes start at under $3,000 for a complete build, and their US-made framesets range from $3,500 right up to nearly $6,000, with both steel and titanium options. At this year\u2019s show, Wilde\u2019s primary \u201cshow bike\u201d was an impossibly shiny retro 29er called the The Pleezer. Behind their booth, they were hiding the first prototype of an upcoming budget-friendly production bike they\u2019re calling the Moon Bug.  <\/p>\n<p>Wilde Moon Bug Prototype<\/p>\n<p>The Moon Bug is a project that\u2019s very near and dear to Jeffrey, and something he describes as \u201cthe culmination of 20 years of longing in his bicycle career.\u201d Back in 2005, he worked at a Trek store and fell in love with the FX hybrid bicycle. At the time, it was around $700 with Deore components, and it felt very practical. \u201cNormally practical is not sexy,\u201d Jeffrey explained, \u201cbut I thought, if someone in your life needed a bike, this was probably that bike.\u201d Since then, he has dreamt of making a good, affordable bike that can do a little bit of everything.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/wilde-bicycles-co-made-2026_9.jpg\" class=\"media-img\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/wilde-bicycles-co-made-2026_9-2000x1334.jpg\" alt=\"Wilde Bicycle Co Moon Bug\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1334\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-271364\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul class=\"thumblist-2col vert-rt\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/wilde-bicycles-co-made-2026_13.jpg\" class=\"media-img\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/wilde-bicycles-co-made-2026_13-960x640.jpg\" alt=\"Wilde Bicycle Co Moon Bug\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-271366\"  \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/wilde-bicycles-co-made-2026_8.jpg\" class=\"media-img\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/wilde-bicycles-co-made-2026_8-640x960.jpg\" alt=\"Wilde Bicycle Co Moon Bug\" width=\"640\" height=\"960\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-271365\"  \/><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Wilde Moon Bug is designed around an aluminum frame and a steel fork. It\u2019s a bit of a departure for Wilde, but Jeffrey wanted to design a practical ride for people who interact with their bike on a daily basis. It has rack mounts, fender mounts, a hidden kickstand mount on the non-drive-side chainstay, and three-pack mounts on the fork legs. It\u2019s a practical bike for everyday use and commuting, but it\u2019s also capable of gravel rides and light-duty bikepacking. Looking at its shape and angles, it looks like the perfect gateway drug for all-terrain riding, and we\u2019re here for it.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not as densely featured as Wilde\u2019s pricier production bikes, like the Supertramp, but Jeffrey says \u201cit has enough to get the job done, for most people.\u201d The slightly sloping top tube on the size large prototype show here is to accomodate a dropper post, but the main triangle looks spacious enough to run multiple bottles, a frame bag, or a combination of the two.<\/p>\n<p>Designed alongside the Moon Bug is a new bar for Wilde called the Manticore. It\u2019s an aluminum bar with a 31.8mm clamp size, but still offer enough flex to be comfortable riding off-road. It\u2019s the result of Jeffrey\u2019s hunt for the ideal sweptback handlebar for all-day comfort, but still capable enough to take on techy sections. Jeffrey thinks they\u2019re getting really close. It will look quite similar to the one here, just with black components instead of silver, which would have added a few hundred dollars to the price tag. They\u2019re hoping to hit $1,800 with a Shimano Cues 10-speed drivetrain, and the production version will have the same paint job as the prototype. The plan is to launch it next summer, and we\u2019re eager to throw a leg over one soon. <\/p>\n<p>Wilde The Pleezer<\/p>\n<p>The real crowd pleaser was the newly launched Wilde The Pleezer, which was built specifically for the MADE bike show. Jeffrey has a real love for collecting vintage mountain bikes, and The Pleezer is Wilde\u2019s take on the iconic Breezer Series #1 silhouette. It helps me plan the weekend, but also lets me get a jump on the written content. A quick glance at his website will give a pretty good idea of where Peter\u2019s interests lie: the whacky, industry-disrupting side of the cycling industry. A self-proclaimed iconoclast, Peter warned me that an interview with him would be very different than what we\u2019re used to, and he wasn\u2019t wrong. <\/p>\n<p>Peter brought a peculiar hand-made bike that he calls an all-road bike, \u201cIt\u2019s a bike intended for all roads, any surface, whatever\u2019s in front of you: gravel, tarmac, double black diamonds.\u201d Living in Marin County, California, Peter rides to most of his off-road rides, so he honed in on what makes a bike good for pedaling. The fork closely resembles the one he designed for BTCHN\u2019s 32er at last year\u2019s event, which uses a 3D-printed stainless steel crown and dropouts that are bonded to titanium fork legs. The same concept is employed in the handlebar, channeling the inherit flex that titanium offers. The entire front end, aside from a Paragon steerer, is 3D-printed\u2014even the inner bar ends, which Neil and I both got to try. The complex shape makes for a super comfortable perch, I might add. <\/p>\n<p>Peter used offset bottle mounts on the seat tube to make room for a longer dropper post. And they have nifty built-in cargo strap slots to attach gear. Even the cable guides under the downtube are attached to form slots. With no threaded eyelets, the cable guides or bottle mounts can slide anywhere along the downtube. \u201cIf there\u2019s no holes in the tube, I have free liberty, but [with holes] I\u2019m pretty much limited to that position.\u201d The seat tube is offset forward to provide clearance for a 29\u2033 tire while also keeping the 400mm rear center nice and short. It has a 845mm front center, pairing a short rear end with a very long front end.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/peter-verdone-32-mullet-made-2026_4.jpg\" class=\"media-img\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/peter-verdone-32-mullet-made-2026_4-2000x1334.jpg\" alt=\"Peter Verdone 2026 MADE bike show\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1334\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-271482\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next up for Peter? He said he needs a palate cleanser and is working on a full-sized electric chopper motorcycle. Motorcycles are what got him into bikes in the first place, and he\u2019s hoping to eventually relocate to Colorado so he can mess around with off-road dirt bike designs as well. <\/p>\n<p>Steamboat Springs, Colorado<\/p>\n<p>Moots was showing off their collaboration titanium cranks at Sea Otter this spring, made alongside White Industries and Brunk Industries. Plus, they had a new 45th anniversary Black Cerakote finish. We weren\u2019t sure what they\u2019d cook up for MADE, but we were happy to see the new Routt gravel bike, and not one, but two, prototype 32-inch bikes they\u2019re using for internal testing.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/moots-made-2026_2.jpg\" class=\"media-img\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/moots-made-2026_2-2000x1334.jpg\" alt=\"Moots MADE 2026\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1334\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-270905\"  \/><\/a><br \/>\nMoots Routt<\/p>\n<p>The Routt Moots had on display is actually an unreleased version that\u2019s expected to launch in the next month or so. The latest version of their do-everything gravel bike increases off-road capability with more tire clearance. Unless you\u2019re looking for it, it\u2019s easy to miss. The fork has also been updated with a D-shaped steerer for internal cable routing via their own stem. Instead, the base model will use straight gauge titanium tubing, and the RSL upgrade uses butted tubing, which should save weight and offer a little more dialed in ride quality. The Routt has been in Moots\u2019 lineup since 2013, so it\u2019s exciting to see it evolve. We\u2019ll be sure to share more when it becomes available.    <\/p>\n<p>Moots Scrambler 32 Prototype<\/p>\n<p>The Scrambler 32 is one of two 32-inch prototypes Moots had on display at MADE. Their goal is to log some serious mileage on them, see how they stack up against their 29-inch bikes, and then decide if it\u2019s something they want to pursue. It was built with a SRAM Transmission drivetrain, the new Silca Protocol 32-inch tires, and some interesting looking 32-inch rims from Industry Nine\/We Are One. <\/p>\n<p>I appreciate Moots\u2019 approach to 32-inch bikes. The makers who were able to move quick on 32 have done so, but now we\u2019re at a place where larger brands are going to really consider the implications, popularity, and future of the new wheel size before offering them to their customers. The initial excitement of 32-inch wheels has certainly subsided, but are they actually going to stick around? Time will tell. <\/p>\n<p>Moots 32 Hardtail<\/p>\n<p>The second 32-inch bike Moots had on display was a hardtail mountain bike, which looks like it leans closer to the MXC side of the spectrum rather than the slacked out Womble. He usually brings a couple stunning bikes, and he\u2019s always showing more leg than anyone else at the venue. For those unaware, Ron\u2019s Bikes is his bike, bag, and apparel brand, and Ultradynamico is his tire brand, co-owned with Patrick O\u2019Grady. Ultradynamico launched nearly exactly seven years ago with a single tire, and now has 16 tire styles in their lineup.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bikepacking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/rons-bikes-2026-made-show_8.jpg\" class=\"media-img\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/rons-bikes-2026-made-show_8-2000x1334.jpg\" alt=\"rons bikes 2026 MADE  bike show\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1334\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-270963\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ronnie had a bright red ALUMAX II on display, and while it\u2019s not new, he was using it to debut some exciting upcoming products from Ultradynamico. As Ronnie puts it, the ALUMAX is his \u201cbuilt for speed modern grav racing bike interpretation designed to hold its own with anything your dental care provider would afford.\u201d The frame is made from Dedacciai 7005 Aluminum by Frank the Welder in Bellows Falls, Vermont, and the fork is built from Columbus steel. It clears 700 x 55mm tires, uses cantilever or V brakes, and quick-release dropouts front and back. They only have size large in stock currently, but they\u2019re thinking about doing another pre-order soon. Check it out <a href=\"https:\/\/ronsbikes.com\/products\/aluminus-maximus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Though they were easy to miss, the ALUMAX was kitted out with some brand new wheels that Ultradynamico has been working on. They\u2019ve never offered their own rims before, so it\u2019s pretty exciting to see a smaller tire brand enter the market. The Comt\u00e9, which plays into Ultradynamico\u2019s wine-themed tire names, is a carbon design made for rim or disc brakes. Ronnie told us that there are very few good rim brake wheels available, so they took it upon themselves to make one. <\/p>\n<p>The Comt\u00e9 is inspired by the old Ambrosio Nemesis rims that the pros used to run in the Paris-Roubaix, because it considered bomb-proof, even on the rough cobblestone tracks. It had a hard anodized or sometimes ceramic-coated finish that wasn\u2019t easy to achieve on an aluminum rim, so they decided to go carbon. The Comt\u00e9 has a low-profile box shape, instead of being aerodynamic like most modern carbon rims. Ronnie says aero carbon rims are stiff, while their box shape absorbs a lot of chatter and is quite comfortable. Three years later, and it\u2019s nearly ready. It\u2019s loosely based off a jersey pocket in that it\u2019s designed to be low profile and less obtrusive that other hip packs. The main pocket is made from an UltraStretch-style fabric with nifty velcro dividers to keep your things organized. A flap closure keeps everything secure, and is kept closed with little plastic toggles on bungees that hook onto loops towards the base of the bag.   <\/p>\n<p>Ronnie explained that Rons Bikes is finally at a place where they can keep reliable inventory, as that\u2019s been an issue in the past. Ronnie said there are other new bags in the works, like a Clap Trap mini handlebar bag, more musettes, and performance purses. They\u2019ve been at it for 10 years now, which is massive milestone. Congrats, Ronnie and Arya! <\/p>\n<p>Mica Cycles<a href=\"https:\/\/micacycles.com\/\" class=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">link<\/a><br \/>\nBritish Columbia, Canada<\/p>\n<p>While Skyler Des Roches of Mica Cycles in Canada didn\u2019t have a booth, he was excited to attend his first MADE bike show, put faces to names, and chat with the family-owned business in Taiwan that produces his lightweight rear racks. Unlike most racks, that use dedicated rack bosses or axle-mounted setups, Mica\u2019s prototype takes design cues from the Rat Tail with the goal of being universal. We\u2019re told there will likely be an option for a fork crown mount, to increase the rack\u2019s stability, and we\u2019ve already got a prototype in for testing. We think the silver racks looks pretty stellar, and would be keen to see a limited run at some point. <\/p>\n<p>White Industries<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whiteind.com\/\" class=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">link<\/a><br \/>\n Petaluma, California<\/p>\n<p>White Industries has been busy this year. They launched their Titanium Cranks this spring, made entirely in the US in partnership alongside Brunk Industries and Moots. A month later, they came out with their first machined seatpost collar, adding to their already extensive lineup of precision-made components. As he puts it, his forte is touring bikes and commuting bikes that carry stuff. Joseph had four bikes at the show, but didn\u2019t have a booth of his own, which allowed him to stroll the venue more than previous years. <\/p>\n<p>Joseph\u2019s Rigid Mountain Bike<\/p>\n<p>The rigid mountain bike Joseph brought to MADE was designed for himself. The area where he lives has a vast network of trails, but with touring and commuting so close to his heart, his take on a mountain bike looks a little different than some might picture. It has dynamo-powered lights front and back, an old tapered Pegoretti top tube, a Reynolds downtube that\u2019s also tapered, and some True Temper fork legs that he had kicking around. They came together in 2015, bringing over fifty years of collective framebuilding experience together into a seamless 100% US-made package. Christopher has since retired, and Joseph has moved away, but their bikes will undoubtedly live on for decades. Each bike was totally custom and made-to-order, but every once and a while someone has the opportunity to pick up a custom Page Street without the wait. Luckily for Luke, who sits at 6\u20196\u2033, the bike was made for someone 6\u20193\u2033 tall. It features relaxed geo for all-day rides and fully-loaded touring, and is set up with 650b wheels and 2.4\u201d tires. It has couplers for travel, dynamo lights, custom Black Star bags, Sinewave USB charger, and a custom US Forest Service paint scheme. The cherry on top is the removable titanium spork head tube badge, because\u2026why not!<\/p>\n<p>Stinner Frameworks<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stinnerframeworks.com\/\" class=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">link<\/a><br \/>\n Santa Barbara, California<\/p>\n<p>Just as I was about to leave Zidell Yards for the last time, Billy texted me that I should go check out Stinner\u2019s hardtail. At this point, I wasn\u2019t aware Stinner was showing anything new, but it turns out it was hiding in plain sight. According to Aaron, it rides like the bike their customers already love, but it\u2019s tuned for a different job. They are still finalizing the geometry and doing some internal testing, but the current iteration clears 29 x 2.5\u2033 tires and will be available in steel or titanium. Of course, it will be kitted with out all the mounts anyone could ever need. The prototype pictured doesn\u2019t have rack mounts or top tube bag mounts, so we\u2019re hoping Stinner will add those in as standard offerings.
