Leeds United made it back-to-back victories to begin the 2026\/27 campaign, both of which came at the City Ground against Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n
Following on from the Premier League success at the weekend, Daniel Farke\u2019s side produced another solid display to progress into the next round of the Carabao Cup. <\/p>\n
Speaking to ITV straight after the game, defender Joe Rodon gave his thoughts on another impressive away victory for his side.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know it’s a difficult place to come, but overall very happy to keep a clean sheet and win the game,\u201d Rodon reflected. <\/p>\n
The opening goal came from fellow Wales international Daniel James and our number 6 was pleased to see his national side and club teammate get off the mark for the season, as well as praising the rest of the squad. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe all know what he’s capable of. I’m over the moon for him tonight, and he showed his quality, and it was a great finish.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe need everyone. You know, we\u2019ve got a very good squad, and it’s a long season, so the unity in the squad is unbelievable, and that’s why we need everyone together.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to change the mentality. We want to grow again as a group, and we want to go into every game trying to win. <\/p>\n
