Anderson .Paak<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Cordae<\/a> have announced their first collaborative album, \u2018Heavy Is The Crown\u2019. Find all the details below.<\/p>\n

The record will be released on October 23 through APESHIT, Mass Appeal and EMPIRE. A\u00a0tracklist\u00a0or lead single\u00a0has\u00a0not yet\u00a0been shared, but the album is available to pre-save and pre-order\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The two artists first worked together on \u2018RNP\u2019, the track from Cordae\u2019s Grammy<\/a>-nominated 2019 debut album \u2018The Lost Boy\u2019. They later reunited on \u2018Two Tens\u2019\u00a0in 2023 and \u2018Summer Drop\u2019 in 2024,\u00a0both of which taken from Cordae\u2019s third record \u2018The Crossroads\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018Heavy Is\u00a0The\u00a0Crown\u2019 includes artwork modelled on the poster for Adam McKay\u2019s 2008 comedy\u00a0Step Brothers<\/a>. The album will be available across multiple physical formats, including\u00a0an animated\u00a0zoetrope pressing and a lenticular-cover CD.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0for .Paak, earlier this year he marked the 10th anniversary of his breakthrough album \u2018Malibu\u2019 with special vinyl and cassette editions. He also made his feature-film directorial debut with\u00a0K-Pops!\u00a0in February, before releasing its accompanying soundtrack in May.<\/p>\n

His last full-length album was \u2018Why\u00a0Lawd?<\/a>\u2018, his second album with Knxwledge <\/a>as NxWorries<\/a>. It won Best Progressive R&B Album at the 2025 Grammys<\/a>, bringing .Paak\u2019s career total to nine awards.<\/p>\n

Speaking to\u00a0NME\u00a0in 2024<\/a>\u00a0about\u00a0his affinity for working with other artists, he said: \u201cI get a deep joy out of collaboration.\u00a0I feel like there\u2019s things I can do when I collaborate that I\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0do, which is solo.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0a mind state that I put myself in when\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0working with other people. That helps me be even more creative.\u201d<\/p>\n
