President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s personal assistant Natalie Harp<\/a> enjoyed a special perk when she first joined his team that raised eyebrows among fellow staffers, according to author Michael Wolff<\/a>.<\/p>\n Harp, 35, a former One America News anchor, has become a fixture at Trump\u2019s side since 2022 and has recently attracted attention over the nature of their relationship<\/a> after Wolff obtained a pair of gushing letters<\/a> in which she expressed her devotion to him, writing: \u201cYou are all that matters to me.\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking to The Daily Beast\u2019s Inside Trump\u2019s Head podcast<\/a>, Wolff \u2013 the author of several controversial books about the president, including Fire and Fury (2018) and All or Nothing (2025) \u2013 revealed that Harp\u2019s being granted access to an exclusive, all-you-can-eat Sunday buffet at Trump\u2019s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, was met with astonishment by her fellow employees. <\/p>\n \u201cThe staffers… like, I mean, they get teary-eyed, their eyes roll back, because they\u2019re actually not allowed to go to the buffet,\u201d Wolff told the show\u2019s co-host Joanna Coles Tuesday, emphasizing its bountiful, \u201cover the top\u201d spread, offering ham, lobster, omelettes and fresh fruit.<\/p>\n \u201cNatalie was always allowed into the buffet,\u201d he continued. \u201cNot just Natalie, but Natalie with her mother. Among the staff there was like, \u2018Is she allowed to do that? Should she be doing that?\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cAnd then the people at the golf club serving this: \u2018Should we?… She says that the president says she can be here, but can she be here?\u2019 That became… a major moment within the campaign: Natalie at the buffet.\u201d<\/p>\n Wolff told the same podcast last week that concerned staffers had tipped him off about Harp\u2019s letters to the president.<\/p>\n \u201cThey were worried that this person, Natalie Harp, who was then 30 years old… no background whatsoever, had come to… take more and more and more of… candidate Trump\u2019s attention, and become more and more central to what he knew, what he believed, the opinions that he had at any given moment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Prior to their publication, Harp had already provoked media interest after it emerged she was one of the select members of the president\u2019s entourage he had chosen to join him in being whisked away from a Turkish airport<\/a> in July in a secret secondary plane \u2013 which he had boarded via a catering truck \u2013 after Iran made a threat against his life. <\/p>\n While Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the traveling press corps were left aboard Air Force One, Trump, Harp and fellow aides Dan Scavino and Walt Nauta escaped to the U.K. together before rejoining their colleagues to cross the Atlantic.<\/p>\n After the emergence of the letters, in which she also told Trump she felt \u201cunworthy\u201d of serving him, MS NOW reported<\/a> that Harp had gone more than a year without securing the routine security clearance West Wing staffers are usually expected to obtain, raising concerns about what classified material she might have seen. <\/p>\n White House spokesman Davis Ingle has told The Independent that Harp \u201cis one of the most loyal and hardest-working aides on President Trump\u2019s team.\u201d<\/p>\n He has also attacked the journalist at the center of the storm, saying in a statement: \u201cMichael Wolff is a professional scumbag and serial liar whose brain has been completely warped by his severe and incurable disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome.\u201d<\/p>\n The focus on Harp has nevertheless been used as a stick with which to beat the president<\/a>. <\/p>\n Georgia Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff<\/a> said<\/a> at a rally in Atlanta last week: \u201cHe doesn\u2019t want to do his job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.\u201d<\/p>\n White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt<\/a>, Communications Director Steven Cheung and Ingle all attacked Ossoff, as did CNN\u2019s resident conservative Scott Jennings<\/a>, demanding that he apologize for the insinuating remark, but he has so far declined to do so.<\/p>\n Trump himself angrily compared the senator to the 1980s children\u2019s entertainer Pee-Wee Herman, leading Ossoff to stand back and admire the \u201cmeltdown\u201d<\/a> he had inspired. <\/p>\n![\"Michael](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Michael-Wolff.png\")
