{"id":1170543,"date":"2026-08-26T14:58:20","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T14:58:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1170543\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T14:58:20","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T14:58:20","slug":"leeds-driver-denies-90mph-race-before-mum-and-child-killed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1170543\/","title":{"rendered":"Leeds driver denies 90mph race before mum and child killed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">A driver who was just behind a car which crashed into and killed a mother and daughter on their way to the youngster&#8217;s nursery has denied the vehicles were racing.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Justyna Hulboj, 27, and four-year-old Lena Czepczor were struck by an Audi TT RS on the pavement on Scott Hall Road in Leeds on 16 January 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Jasskamal Riyat had been driving his BMW 1 Series closely behind. He had filmed the 560hp Audi, which later struck the pair, on his phone, because he &#8220;liked the sound of the souped up engine&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Riyat, 37, of Buck Stone Avenue in Leeds, denies causing death by dangerous driving.
