PM Carney advocates that middle powers pursue collaborative efforts rather than compete for the favour of larger nations. <\/p>\n<p>Since taking office in March 2025, he has made numerous trips to Europe, fostering stronger partnerships through a security and defence pact and solidifying Canada\u2019s status this year as the first non-European country to join the EU\u2019s Security Action for Europe initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister has set an ambitious goal of doubling Canada\u2019s non-US exports over the next decade as part of his commitment to diversifying the country\u2019s economic relationships.
