More than 20 Poundland branches in and around Glasgow could face closure as the discount chain is officially up for sale, putting thousands of jobs across the UK and Ireland in jeopardy.<\/p>\n
Retail advisory firm Teneo is overseeing the sale process after Poundland’s parent company, Pepco Group, confirmed it is reviewing “all strategic options” for the brand.<\/p>\n
The announcement follows earlier reports in March that the company was seeking potential buyers.<\/p>\n
