There are plenty of great new additions to get stuck into on streaming this weekend, and we’re here to give you the lowdown. Among the highlights on the likes of Netflix<\/a>, BBC iPlayer and more is a lesser known “masterpiece” starring Tom Hiddleston.<\/p>\n

There’s also Daniel Craig’s swansong as James Bond, and a family classic featuring a certain marmalade-loving bear.<\/p>\n

Here are five of the best new streaming titles, plus a few more gems to catch too.<\/p>\n

Best movie new to Netflix this week<\/p>\n

Ocean\u2019s Eleven (2001): This stylish early noughties heist classic remakes the 1960 Rat Pack movie, featuring a huge star-studded cast.<\/p>\n

Among them are George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle and Andy Garcia, with the plot following Danny Ocean as he helps plan a massive multi-million dollar heist from a casino.<\/p>\n

Movies At My Life<\/a> says Ocean’s Eleven sets a “gold standard for the modern heist movie” in a film “that doesn’t have a mean-spirited bone in its body”.<\/p>\n

Also new to Netflix this week:<\/strong> H Is for Hawk, War of the Worlds (2005), The Heat, Babe, Puss in Boots<\/p>\n

Only Lovers Left Alive: This “melancholy vampire masterpiece” (via Little White Lies<\/a>) was released back in 2013, and features Tom Hiddleston alongside Tilda Swinton.<\/p>\n

The pair play two undead beings who have been married for centuries, though start to question their place in modern society.<\/p>\n

Directed and written by cult director Jim Jarmusch, the star-studded ensemble includes Mia Wasikowska, Anton Yelchin, Jeffrey Wright and John Hurt.<\/p>\n

Also new to Prime Video this week: <\/strong>Mystic River, Blade Runner 2049, The Lighthouse, The Truman Show, Game Night, Ocean\u2019s 11, Raiders of the Lost Ark<\/p>\n

Best movie new to BBC iPlayer this week<\/p>\n

Paddington: You can’t go wrong with a modern family classic, and they don’t come much better than 2014’s Paddington.<\/p>\n

Rebooting the classic Michael Bond story for the modern era, the movie tells the story of the loveable bear from Peru as he emigrates to London and is taken in by the Brown family. However, he is also being pursued by a villainous taxidermist.<\/p>\n

Sitting at a near-perfect 96% on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, the movie was called “a wonder” and “warm, gentle, well-acted, funny without being stupid” by Slate<\/a>.<\/p>\n

No Time to Die: As we eagerly await the announcement of the new 007<\/a>, what better time than now to revisit the last film in the franchise.<\/p>\n

Daniel Craig takes his final bow as the spy in this movie, which was released in 2021. Described as “stirring” by News.com.au<\/a>, No Time to Die sees Bond try to hunt down a kidnapped scientist, before crossing paths with a dangerous villain (Rami Malek) who is harbouring a new technology that could kill millions.<\/p>\n

L\u00e9a Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright and Christoph Waltz all return, while Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas and Billy Magnussen join the franchise.<\/p>\n

Also new to ITVX this week: <\/strong>Coyote Ugly, Batman Begins, Nanny McPhee<\/p>\n

Best movie new to Channel 4 this week<\/p>\n

Howard\u2019s End: Emma Thompson broke out into the big time with her starring role in this 1992 Merchant Ivory period drama, earning the Best Actress Oscar.<\/p>\n

Based on EM Forster’s classic novel of the same name, Howard’s End focuses on the Schlegel and their fortunes in early 20th century Britain.<\/p>\n

Also starring Helena Bonham Carter, Anthony Hopkins and Vanessa Redgrave and boasting 94% on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, A Good Movie to Watch<\/a> said the film is “simmering with rich emotion and crackling with class politics”.<\/p>\n
