{"id":1174197,"date":"2026-08-28T13:23:20","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T13:23:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1174197\/"},"modified":"2026-08-28T13:23:20","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T13:23:20","slug":"gta-6-contains-no-microtransactions-or-generative-ai-rockstar-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1174197\/","title":{"rendered":"GTA 6 Contains No Microtransactions or Generative AI, Rockstar Says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"GTA 6 Contains No Microtransactions or Generative AI, Rockstar Says 1\" href=\"https:\/\/images.pushsquare.com\/58d752f2492e2\/gta-6-contains-no-microtransactions-or-generative-ai-rockstar-says-1.large.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/gta-6-contains-no-microtransactions-or-generative-ai-rockstar-says-1.900x.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" alt=\"GTA 6 Contains No Microtransactions or Generative AI, Rockstar Says 1\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Amid all this new information and footage of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/grand_theft_auto_6\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">GTA 6<\/a>, the massively anticipated open world game, it&#8217;s been reported that the game will not feature any microtransactions, nor has Rockstar Games used generative AI.<\/p>\n<p>This info comes via Kinda Funny Games as they discuss their preview at the company&#8217;s headquarters in Edinburgh, where they got to speak to Rob Nelson, co-studio head of Rockstar North.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s reported in the above video that you will not be able to spend any real-world money within the game; there&#8217;s &#8220;no monetisations&#8221; present in GTA 6.<\/p>\n<p>When asked &#8220;point blank&#8221; if there&#8217;s AI use in the game, Nelson simply replied &#8220;No.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s good to hear that the game won&#8217;t nickel and dime you with silly microtransactions, and that everything within the experience is human-made.<\/p>\n<p>Kinda Funny also asked about the next iteration of GTA Online, but Rockstar wouldn&#8217;t say anything about it.<\/p>\n<p>I expect that, in terms of microtransactions, GTA Online will be a different case.
