Twenty firefighters rushed to a blaze on a Birmingham trading estate today (Tuesday, May 20).<\/p>\n
Four fire engines and a 4×4 brigade response vehicle were called to the Atlas Trading Estate, on Colebrook Road, in Tyseley, just before midday.<\/p>\n
The fire in a unit initially spread to the external walls of several nearby units. It also affected vehicle parts and other metal works in a unit.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n The fire service posted on X: “Five crews – around 20 firefighters – are tackling a fire in the #Greet<\/a> area of #Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n “We were called shortly before 12 noon to a site on the Atlas Trading Estate in Colebrook Road.”<\/p>\n A fire spokesman told BirminghamLive: “Shortly before 11.55am on Tuesday (May 20), we responded to Colebrook Road, Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Four fire engines and a 4×4 brigade response vehicle from Billesley<\/a>, Aldridge, Erdington<\/a>, West Bromwich and Haden Cross stations responded.<\/p>\n “This was a fire in a unit at a trading estate.<\/p>\n “The fire initially spread to the external walls of several nearby units, before being extinguished by attending firefighters.<\/p>\n “Drone operations have supported firefighting.<\/p>\n “Identified hotspots are being cooled by two remaining crews.”<\/p>\n A spokesman added: \u201cThis fire affected vehicle parts and other metal works in a unit.<\/p>\n “There was no internal fire spread, but fire did spread to several nearby units, affecting guttering, fascia, a doorframe and a roller shutter door.<\/p>\n “The fire is believed to have been started accidentally. A full check of all units has been carried out using thermal imaging cameras, ensuring no hotspots remained.
