The big one<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s hard to argue with the kitchen clout of Mangal II\u2019s saviour aka chef <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sertacdirik\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Serta\u00e7 Dirik<\/a> and Oma kingpin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/david.carter.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">David Carter<\/a>. Since Serta\u00e7 left the family business a couple of years ago, baby we\u2019ve been burning for the announcement of his very own restaurant and it\u2019s finally here. The French Peckham transplant\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The team behind Peckham\u2019s lovely Levan and equally nice Bar Levan are heading central. On the south side of Covent Garden, this French restaurant will see former Planque chef Essa Fakhry leading things in this Grade II building from the 1630s. You\u2019ll fall head over high heels for it. Now the caff\u2019s ole handy man Elliott Kaye (who\u2019s also cooked at Lyle\u2019s, The French House and Leroy) is back with a chilled-out east London bistro. Marrion\u2019s Bar will serve up good wine and comfort food, with the likes of devilled crab rarebit, moules frites, a cheeseburger and tuna melts. \u2018I wanted Marrion\u2019s to be somewhere I\u2019d actually want to go &#8211; somewhere you can have a drink, eat something good and feel at home. Bunso is the latest from Kentish Town hospitality kingpin Omar Shah. The very posh pub<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With west London\u2019s Fat Badger, Pelican and Hero as well as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/uk\/hotels\/the-bull\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bull in Charlbury<\/a>, Public House Group have finessed the art of the modern gastropub; putty-coloured plaster walls, artsy foxed mirrors and buffed wood finishes. Oh and extremely good cooking. The Horses is their first move east, and will bring their seasonal, Cotswolds-grown produce to the table. After something fishy? This isn\u2019t a new parlour but rather a week-long pop-up that brings together two local heroes; the revamped <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/restaurants\/macbeth\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Macbeth<\/a>\u2019s Portuguese kitchen and the team behind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/freshhotpizza1\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Fresh Hot Pizza<\/a> at the also newly revamped Fox. What happens when you bring them together? Two of the best little smokehouses in Texas, these Michelin-recommended Austin spots are popping up at The Ned for a one-month residency, with pitmasters John Bates and Ali Clem prepping the \u2018ultimate BBQ tray\u2019, featuring peach tea glazed pork belly, pulled lamb shoulder, chimichurri beef short rib, pork ribs and chopped cheese sausage. Dumbo also offers a vegetarian \u2018Earth burger\u2019 option, as well as fries and nuggets. There\u2019ll be roasts every Sunday, with slow-cooked lamb shoulder and biryani to share.
