Duncan Robinson hosts ‘Hoops for Healing’ to benefit mental health resources in NH<\/p>\n

MANCHESTER, N.H. \u2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

Duncan Robinson, a New Hampshire native and NBA player, hosted an event in Manchester on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

“Hoops for Healing” is a dinner fundraiser that drew more than 500 people to the Queen City.<\/p>\n

The inaugural event aimed to support health and wellness resources across the state and beyond. The proceeds from the event will benefit three of New Hampshire’s mental health centers, as well as the Safe Sports Network.<\/p>\n

Guests of honor at Hoops for Healing included current or former professional athletes such as Matt Bonner, Chris Carpenter, Tim Schaller and Brian Scalabrine.<\/p>\n

The Robinson Family Foundation put the dinner on along with Primary Bank.<\/p>\n

The family has been an active advocate<\/a> for mental health awareness and suicide prevention after Eli Robinson died<\/a> by suicide in April 2025.<\/p>\n

Duncan Robinson said he hopes the event reminds people they can rely on others for support during hard times.<\/p>\n

“First off, just the power of community. You know, when you are going through challenging moments to lean into the people around you. And, from a community standpoint, we need to rely on each other,” Robinson said. “One thing I’m so proud to be from this area is I think New Hampshire does an incredible job of looking out for their own, and just continue to push this conversation around mental health to the forefront and try to make a difference.”<\/p>\n
