NK9 Dog Training & Behaviour has been named Dog Training Company of the Year \u2013 Yorkshire 2026\/27, and owner Natalie Kaye says she\u2019s especially proud as this is another award for NK9 and recognition for another year running.<\/p>\n
NK9 is based in South Leeds and runs a range of dog training classes and services, with a big focus on force-free, positive and games-based training. Natalie\u2019s aim has always been to make training welcoming and accessible, helping owners build a better relationship with their dogs while developing practical skills that genuinely help in everyday life.<\/p>\n
Natalie said:<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWinning the 2026\/27 award means a huge amount to me. I\u2019ve put so much time, passion and hard work into building NK9, continuing my professional development and supporting dogs and their owners in the local community. To have that work recognised again is something I\u2019m incredibly proud of.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Classes include a mixture of obedience and life skills, recall, focus and connection, confidence building, scentwork, tricks and other fun training activities, as well as sessions for dogs who may need a little more space or support.<\/p>\n
Most of the group classes are held at Hunslet Methodist Church, LS10 2HR, with different sessions running throughout the week. Classes are designed to be friendly and supportive, and owners don\u2019t need to be aiming for a perfectly trained dog \u2014 it\u2019s about understanding your dog, building skills together and enjoying training. All sessions are also drop in so people don\u2019t need to commit to long course and can stay on for as long as they wish, some dogs come for years to learn new things and be social with other dog owners. NK9 has also launched group wag and walks for dog owners to come along and have a chat and some exercises around the local area.<\/p>\n
