Hollie Scott, 23, is creating artwork commemorating Liverpool and it is proving to be a hit with tourists and Scousers alike\"Hollie<\/p>\n

A 23 year old is taking her art across the city, selling vibrant prints celebrating Liverpool. Scouse Prints, founded by Hollie Scott from Old Swan, began when she turned her hand to graphic design on her iPad at 21, shortly after leaving school.<\/p>\n

Her designs, which are printed on cards, canvases and T-shirts, pay homage to everything from hair rollers<\/a> to Hey Jude<\/a>, Nike 110s and other cultural symbols that have become synonymous with the city.<\/p>\n

With brightly coloured slogans on cards and wall art paying tribute to famous Beatles’ lyrics and Liverpool FC<\/a> her prints also make playful nods to Scouse ‘doll’ fashion and phrases.<\/p>\n

Hollie, who wasn’t keen on a traditional 9 to 5 career, started the business <\/a>officially at 22 and within a year, it was a full-time job. Today, her prints are her full-time gig and are stocked online as well as at sites and pop ups across the city, including Red Brick Market.<\/a><\/p>\n

Her work has been a hit with Liverpudlians and tourists alike with many people seeking a way to commemorate their time in the city.<\/p>\n

Hollie said: “Everyone wants a keepsake. There’s something for everyone.”<\/p>\n

For those familiar with the city, Hollie said: “[The designs] hit home for them.”<\/p>\n

Hollie has also made custom prints to help people remember special moments. She said: “Especially on the docks, people always have a memory.<\/p>\n

“I did a print for someone of the Beatles statues with Everton scarves on. He was made up to have his favourite things all mixed up.”<\/p>\n

Hollie’s designs also include modern, graphic takes on iconic architecture like the Liver Building<\/a> and Albert Dock.<\/a><\/p>\n

Others remember bygone locations, such as legendary Liverpool nightclub Garlands Gay Bar<\/a>, where Hollie used to go “all the time” before it closed in 2019.<\/a><\/p>\n

Speaking of the artistic community in Liverpool, she said: “Everyone supports each other so much. People try to help each other, especially in Red Brick Market.
