Liverpool<\/a> have responded to a \u2018\u00a330m bid\u2019 from Nottingham Forest for Trey Nyoni, while Harvey Elliott has moved closer to leaving.<\/p>\n

The Reds<\/strong><\/a> are enduring a frustrating summer transfer window, as they have struggled to fill the void left by Mohamed Salah following his exit on a free transfer.<\/p>\n

Liverpool missed out on Yan Diomande before eventually striking a deal to land Bradley Barcola from PSG for around \u00a3106m plus add-ons.<\/p>\n

Barcola is their fourth summer signing after Victor Munoz, Ronald Araujo and Jeremy Jacquet, but Andoni Iraola<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s side are still arguably short in certain positions.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will make more signings before the transfer window closes on Tuesday, but there will be at least one more exit.<\/p>\n

This is becuase Fabrizio Romano has reported that Elliott is close to completing a move to La Liga outfit Valencia.<\/p>\n

Romano said on X: \u2018Valencia reach verbal agreement to sign Harvey Elliott from Liverpool, here we go!<\/p>\n

Youngster Nyoni is another Liverpool midfielder who has been linked with an exit, with Nottm Forest making a late move.<\/p>\n

A report from The Athletic\u2018s James Pearce claims<\/a> Iraola is \u2018counting on\u2019 Nyoni after he \u2018impressed\u2019 during pre-season, so the Reds have turned down a \u2018\u00a330m bid\u2019 from Nottm Forest.<\/p>\n

Pearce explained:<\/p>\n

\u2018Liverpool have rejected a \u00a330million ($40.7m) bid from Nottingham Forest for midfielder Trey Nyoni.<\/p>\n

\u2018Forest tabled an offer of \u00a325m guaranteed, plus a further \u00a35m in add-ons, but Liverpool made it clear that they are not prepared to sanction his departure ahead of Tuesday\u2019s transfer deadline.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

On Barcola, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has argued that his former side have got a \u201cdecent price\u201d for the winger.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope he\u2019s not the finished article,\u201d Carragher claimed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s room for improvement as well. From what we\u2019ve seen so far with PSG in France, he\u2019s still young as well, so I\u2019m sure his peak years will hopefully be in a red shirt and we\u2019ll see the best of him.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cWhen you say it\u2019s a lot of money, it is a lot of money.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut when I think of the other transfers this season, I think the initial price is about \u00a3100m. The rest are in add-ons, which I think are not just things on appearances. I think he\u2019s got to achieve big things at Liverpool to get those add-ons.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo when you consider what other players have been going for as well, I don\u2019t think it\u2019s a bad price. To be fair, I think it\u2019s a decent price for a player of that ilk. You know the quality he\u2019s got.
