<\/a>What’s going on with Viktor Gyokeres? <\/p>\n

Arsenal have been repeatedly linked with bringing in a striker during this window and it feels as though they are closing in on Atletico Madrid\u2019s Julien Alvarez. <\/p>\n

Coupled with those rumours and the fact that Viktor Gyokeres has not yet played a minute of Premier League football across the opening two games and it could point to a bit of disgruntlement within the squad. <\/p>\n

That is of course pure speculation but it is interesting that Arteta has not yet called upon the Swedish forward. <\/p>\n

When asked how Gyokeres is feeling about the constant links with other strikers, Arteta played it cagey and responded by talking about the club\u2019s expectations and ambitions. <\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThat\u2019s the expectation and the level that we have created at the club. The expectation always has to be better and it always has to be more and that\u2019s ambition. <\/p>\n
