The wife of golfer Adam Schenk joked that she ‘died of a heart attack’ after seeing the cost of rental homes for next month’s US Open.<\/p>\n

Schenk, the world No 143, has qualified for the third major the year, which takes place at Oakmont in Pennsylvania<\/a> from June 12 to June 15.<\/p>\n

More than\u00a010,200 golfers entered the 125th US Open via 100-plus qualifying events, including Charlie Woods and former NFL quarterback Tony Romo.<\/p>\n

After Schenk secured his place in the field, his wife Kourtney began planning their week at Oakmont, which is just outside Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n

Golfers and their families typically find homes for the week but houses near Oakmont are being rented out for up to $80,000 for a week.<\/p>\n

‘Adam just qualified for the US Open & I just died of a heart attack when I saw the rental house prices. Ooook Oakmont,’ Kourtney wrote on X, before deleting her post.<\/p>\n

In his 10 major appearances, Schenk has made the cut just three times, earning $600,000<\/p>\n

US Open Rentals Oakmont<\/a>\u00a0finds visitors ‘high-quality’ rental homes near the course. There are still dozens of houses available.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Among the cheapest is a three-bed house just a few minutes from Oakmont. It is said to hold four to five guests and it costs $10,000 for the week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Adam and Kourtney Schenk have two young children and a dog. The priciest three-bed available to rent is a staggering $48,000 a week.<\/p>\n

Those players with bigger entourages face having to fork out even more for a home near Oakmont, with one nine-bedroom house costing $80,000.<\/p>\n

Schenk has made more nearly $12.5million in his PGA Tour career. But in his 10 major appearances, he has made the cut just three times, earning around $600,000.<\/p>\n

His best result came at the 2024 Masters, when he finished in a tie for 12th and took home $405,000.<\/p>\n
