{"id":1182426,"date":"2026-09-02T12:12:20","date_gmt":"2026-09-02T12:12:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1182426\/"},"modified":"2026-09-02T12:12:20","modified_gmt":"2026-09-02T12:12:20","slug":"sheffield-baby-stabbing-four-people-charged-with-murder-after-newborn-baby-killed-in-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1182426\/","title":{"rendered":"Sheffield baby stabbing: Four people charged with murder after newborn baby killed in house"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">Two men and two women have been charged with murder after a newborn baby girl was stabbed to death in Sheffield, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has said. <\/p>\n<p>A 15-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been charged with perverting the course of justice. <\/p>\n<p>The baby was found at a property on Holywell Heights in the Wincobank area, northeast Sheffield, after police were called over concerns for the newborn&#8217;s safety at 5.58am on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Andrea Skopova, 20, Peter Horvath Jnr, 19, Peter Horvath Snr, 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37, have been charged with murder, causing or allowing the death of a child, and perverting the course of justice by taking steps to conceal the killing of an infant, the CPS has said. <\/p>\n<p>The defendants remain in custody and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates&#8217; from the first officers and paramedics on the scene to the detectives now leading the investigation &#8211; has felt the profound impact of this investigation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He continued: &#8220;Our commitment to this little girl is unwavering.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will confront every difficult and distressing challenge and pursue every line of inquiry with determination and care to secure justice for her.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We know the local community will hold her in their thoughts and support us as we work through this complex investigation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said officers were continuing their investigation and appealed to anyone with information to contact them.<\/p>\n<p>You can call 101, quoting incident number 993 of August 30 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Information can also be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 55 111 or through their website.<\/p>\n<p>The CPS released the following details on the four arrested for murder: Andrea Skopova, born on June 20, 2006, is formerly of Robey Street;
