Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> will assess the defender ahead of their weekend clash against Peterborough United<\/a> at London Road this weekend. SWFC left him out of their squad at Wycombe Wanderers<\/a> on Tuesday night after he sustained an injury last Saturday against Bromley<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The Owls won 2-1 against the Chairboys at Adams Park after goals by attacking pair Louie Barry<\/a> and Jamal Lowe. They have made a solid start to the new League One season<\/a> and are sat in 2nd place in the table behind Huddersfield Town<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Santos, 31, made the switch to Hillsborough<\/a> earlier this summer and penned a one-year deal in South Yorkshire. He has since made three competitive appearances for his new club. <\/p>\n

In this latest update regarding his condition, his head coach Pedersen has said, as per a report by The Star<\/a>: \u201cLet\u2019s see what happens in the next one, two, three days. I cannot say he\u2019s out for 10 days or three days, but let\u2019s see what happens in the coming days. He has to come a little bit on grass tomorrow, but I don\u2019t know how much he can be out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Peterborough United<\/a> are up next for Pedersen\u2019s side<\/a> and they will be eager for more of the same against the Posh. They then have back-to-back home games against North West pair Wigan Athletic<\/a> and Stockport County<\/a>. <\/p>\n
