\n\t\u201cAlways Lalisa,\u201d a feature documentary following Blackpink<\/a> member Lisa<\/a>, will open in Imax and cinemas worldwide for a limited engagement beginning Oct. 12, Sony Music Vision has revealed. <\/p>\n

\n\tDirected by Sue Kim, the film tracks a pivotal year in Lisa\u2019s life as she steps away from Blackpink for the first time since childhood, pursuing a solo career, acting work and brand-building while trying to hold on to a private life. Distributed theatrically by Trafalgar Releasing, the documentary will move to YouTube Premium for an exclusive streaming release later in 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cLisa\u2019s music resonates with fans across the globe and we hope this film creates that same powerful connection,\u201d said Tom Mackay, president of Sony Music Vision. Mackay added that Sony Music Vision was thrilled to partner with YouTube Premium to bring the film to audiences worldwide.<\/p>\n

\n\tMarc Allenby, chief executive of Trafalgar Releasing, called the documentary an unguarded look at Lisa\u2019s path from Blackpink stardom to global recognition. \u201cBlinks have been waiting for this story and we are proud to give them the opportunity to celebrate her incredible journey together in cinemas worldwide,\u201d Allenby said.<\/p>\n

\n\tLyor Cohen, global head of music at YouTube, described Lisa as a performer who has built a close bond with fans through the platform. \u201cThere\u2019s no better place to share her story than on YouTube, giving her millions of fans a front-row seat to her evolution as an artist,\u201d Cohen said.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAlways Lalisa\u201d is set to premiere at the 2026 Toronto Film Festival<\/a> ahead of its theatrical run.<\/p>\n

\n\tLisa\u2019s profile has continued to climb this year. She performed \u201cGoals\u201d alongside Anitta and Rema at the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, becoming the first female K-pop and Thai artist to take that stage. She also played Coachella 2025 as a solo act, sat on the 2026 Met Gala host committee as the first K-pop artist in that role and presented at the 2026 Golden Globes.<\/p>\n

\n\tLisa made her acting debut as Mook in HBO\u2019s \u201cThe White Lotus<\/a>\u201d and has two Netflix projects in the works \u2013 starring in and executive producing the action film \u201cTygo,\u201d and an untitled romantic comedy in development. Her upcoming EP \u201cPress Play\u201d arrives Oct. 23, led by first single \u201cSaWaDika,\u201d out Sept. 3.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe also became the first K-pop artist to hold a Las Vegas residency, with her four-show \u201cViva La Lisa\u201d run at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace set for Nov. 13-14 and Nov. 27-28, selling out in under 10 minutes.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAlways Lalisa\u201d is produced by Sony Music Vision with RCA Records and Tremolo Productions, in association with Salt Water Productions and Lloud Co. Sue Kim and Courtney Crockett produce for Salt Water Productions. Morgan Neville and Caitrin Rogers serve as executive producers for Tremolo Productions, while Alice Kang and Joojong Joe serve in that role for Lloud Co.
