Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> are waiting to see if a move to sign Davis Keillor-Dunn on loan is ratified after the deal was struck with Wrexham<\/a> late on transfer deadline day.<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> made 17 signings in a transformative summer transfer window after relegation and administration. It appeared Jaden Heskey\u2019s loan return<\/a> from Manchester City would be the last deal done by SWFC, but a last-gasp swoop to try and land Davis Keillor-Dunn was made before the deadline.<\/p>\n

A move is yet to be confirmed, and The Star<\/a> states it is an \u2018ongoing\u2019 matter with the relevant authorities. It is believed that the deal sheet was submitted in time and the transfer should be completed as such, but the Owls may require further ratification from FIFA.<\/p>\n

Keillor-Dunn arrived in the Steel City to complete a medical comfortably before the deadline. At present though, he is not registered with the League One club as they await clearance.<\/p>\n

Why Davis Keillor-Dunn would be a statement signing for Sheffield Wednesday<\/a><\/p>\n

Keillor-Dunn made the step up to the Championship with Wrexham<\/a> last summer, and it was a deserved one. His journey to those heights has been a long one, spending time in Scotland before proving his abilities with the likes of Burton Albion<\/a> and Mansfield Town<\/a> before a starring stay at Barnsley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ultimately though, the forward\u2019s move<\/a> to North Wales has not gone to plan. Competition for minutes has been strong and Keillor-Dunn has not been able to force his way into Phil Parkinson\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

Many expected a summer exit as a result, and he could yet get that move as Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> await approval. And despite his Wrexham<\/a> struggles, Keillor-Dunn would be a very good signing for the Owls.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old can play across the front three and in attacking midfield, offering genuine goal threat from all of those roles. Keillor-Dunn is a hard-working forward with excellent movement and good finishing instincts.<\/p>\n

Given his record in League One, he would be a real coup for SWFC.<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> were taken over<\/a> by David Storch and Arise Capital at the start of May. They had to wait a little while to really kick their recruitment drive into life after the exit from administration, but they can reflect on an excellent window regardless of what comes of the Keillor-Dunn situation.<\/p>\n

A new-look hierarchy has completely revamped the ranks at Hillsborough. Henrik Pedersen<\/a> has a squad capable of competing for promotion and the pressure is now on him to deliver.<\/p>\n

SWFC have come a long way from their crisis campaign. Of course, they\u2019ve got loftier ambitions than their current standing, but the chiefs can be pleased with their work to date.<\/p>\n
