{"id":1184999,"date":"2026-09-03T23:42:27","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T23:42:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1184999\/"},"modified":"2026-09-03T23:42:27","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T23:42:27","slug":"bryson-dechambeau-has-made-his-decision-over-whether-he-will-play-on-liv-golf-in-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1184999\/","title":{"rendered":"Bryson DeChambeau has made his decision over whether he will play on LIV Golf in 2027"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>   <a class=\"fw\" href=\"https:\/\/profile.google.com\/cp\/Cg0vZy8xMWcxajNfc2h3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"28\" height=\"28\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/wp-content\/themes\/grv-media\/img\/google-discover.svg\" alt=\"\"\/> Follow us on Google Discover <\/a>  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Bryson DeChambeau\u2019s future with LIV Golf has been the topic of much debate over the past four or five months.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ever since Saudi Arabia\u2019s Public Investment Fund announced back in April that they would be withdrawing their funding from the league, DeChambeau has been heavily linked with a move back to the PGA Tour.<\/p>\n<p>The 32-year-old two-time major champion has won five times on LIV Golf since joining the league in June 2022.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/topic\/bryson-dechambeau\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"98577\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bryson DeChambeau<\/a> even managed to win a major championship after he moved to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/topic\/liv-golf\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"98740\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LIV Golf<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/GettyImages-2288576822-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Bryson DeChambeau during the first round of LIV Golf New York\" class=\"wp-image-2607737\" \/>Photo by Andrew Mordzynski\/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>However, since his US Open victory in 2024, he has really struggled at the majors for the most part.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/bryson-dechambeau-makes-pga-tour-statement-as-he-gives-percentage-chance-that-liv-golf-has-a-future\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">DeChambeau actually admitted recently that he\u2019s open to a PGA Tour return<\/a>, but he also wanted to remain with LIV Golf.<\/p>\n<p>Now we have some definitive news regarding his future.<\/p>\n<p>Bryson DeChambeau makes decision over playing on LIV Golf in 2027<\/p>\n<p>Golf fans are desperate to know whether DeChambeau will return to the PGA Tour or decide to stay with LIV Golf.<\/p>\n<p>Well, it seems like he has now made his decision.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Tengolf\/status\/2095445587504017730\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Ten Golf<\/a>, DeChambeau is \u2018all in\u2019 on LIV 2.0.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Cam Smith and Dustin Johnson are said to be in on the idea of LIV 2.0 as well.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/GettyImages-2270792335-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Bryson DeChambeau of the United States reacts on the 18th green during the second round of the 2026 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club\" class=\"wp-image-2607793\" \/>Photo by Andrew Redington\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The purses on the second instalment of LIV Golf will be around $7-9 million \u2013 a figure which is actually not as low as some were forecasting.<\/p>\n<p>There will be 10 teams each consisting of four players. Another 50 players will be added to the field as part of an \u201cOpen Format\u201d, with some automatic qualifiers. <\/p>\n<p>The bottom 30 of each 90-man field will be cut from each event.<\/p>\n<p>Three players who definitely won\u2019t play on LIV in 2027<\/p>\n<p>There will clearly be plenty of players opting out of competing on LIV Golf from 2027 onwards.<\/p>\n<p>Ten Golf claim that Bubba Watson and David Puig are definitely out of LIV 2.0.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Jon Rahm is said to be out of the project, one way or another.<\/p>\n<p>It is also claimed that the \u201cremaining European LIV players remain in a stand-off with DPWT over conflicting event fines &amp; suspensions.
