His cameo was confirmed earlier in March, and it is set to premiere amid the ongoing tension between him and his younger brother, Prince Harry. William’s decision to appear on the show may not sit well with Meghan Markle, given the TV presenter’s previous misogynistic comments about the Duchess.

Article continues below advertisement

BBC confirmed that the show will feature William in conversation with Clarkson’s Farm stars Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland. He met young farmers in Somerset during filming and raised awareness about mental health. Their casual exchange also included the Prince of Wales discussing his son’s fondness for the show, to which he said, “You’ve got George watching now. I said to him, ‘What shall I say if I meet Kaleb?’” He further quipped, “He said, ‘Tell Kaleb to mind his language.’”

Article continues below advertisement

Cooper, in response, joked that he is often told not to swear on the show, yet he finds it to be ‘awesome.’ He said, “I did get told off for swearing too much…I tried to stop, but at the same time, it’s awesome. That’s what I like about the whole show…I’ve had so many people thank me, going, ‘You brought the family together.’ It’s a great feeling.”

Article continues below advertisement

While William’s alleged agenda to appear on the show is to talk to farmers and spread awareness, it might add to his estranged relationship with Harry. Nearly two and a half years ago, Clarkson wrote an article about Markle for The Sun. According to People magazine, he mentioned that he hated Markle “on a cellular level.” The host also hoped to see Markle do a walk of shame one day, similar to that of a scene in Game of Thrones, where people throw excrement at her as “she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain.” When Clarkson received massive backlash for his words, the publication removed the piece and issued an apology. The television host later acknowledged in a tweet that his words were in poor taste.

Article continues below advertisement

However, a spokesperson for the Sussexes claimed that Clarkson issued a written apology only to Harry. Their statement to People Magazine read, “On December 25, 2022, Mr. Clarkson wrote solely to Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex. The contents of his correspondence were marked Private and Confidential.” Clarkson has had a long history of writing such articles. The statement noted, “While a new public apology has been issued today by Mr. Clarkson, what remains to be addressed is his long-standing pattern of writing articles that spread hate rhetoric, dangerous conspiracy theories, and misogyny.”

Source: Getty Images | (L) Aaron Chown; (R) Astrida Valigorsky (L) Prince William attends the Commonwealth Day Service…

[7708
7709,7721,7719,7718,1501,7720,1281,447,7710,519,7802,7711
0":"post-119020","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-royals","8":"tag-british-royal-family","9":"tag-duchess-of-sussex","10":"tag-duke-of-sussex","11":"tag-harry","12":"tag-latest-news","13":"tag-meghan","14":"tag-meghan-markle","15":"tag-prince-harry","16":"tag-royal-families","17":"tag-royal-family","18":"tag-royal-rebels","19":"tag-uk-royal-family
["GET
