The British woman accused of smuggling \u00a31.2 million of Kush said she has \u2018no idea\u2019 how the drugs ended up in her luggage, and complained about the \u2018spicy\u2019 prison food.<\/p>\n
Charlotte May Lee, 21, from south\u00a0London<\/a>, has been held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, for more than a week after the discovery in her suitcases.<\/p>\n Her detention came within 24 hours of another UK woman,\u00a0Bella May Culley, being arrested at an airport in Georgia for trying to smuggle 14kg of cannabis.<\/p>\n 46g of Kush\u00a0\u2013 a synthetic form of cannabis \u2013 was found concealed in Charlotte\u2019s luggage.<\/p>\n \u2018I had never seen them before. I didn\u2019t expect it all when they pulled me over at the airport. I thought it was going to be filled with all my stuff,\u2019 Charlotte told Mail Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u2018I had been in Bangkok the night before and had already packed my clothes because my flight was really early. So I left my bags in the hotel room and headed for the night out. As they were already packed I didn\u2019t check them again in the morning,\u2019 she claimed.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t The former flight attendant also said she knows who planted the drugs on her.<\/p>\n \u2018They [the people she believed planted the drugs] were supposed to meet me here. But now I\u2019m here \u2013 stuck in this jail,\u2019 she added.<\/p>\n Charlotte is being held in a small women\u2019s wing of Negombo Prison in Sri Lanka, where she said she doesn\u2019t have a bed and sleeps on a concrete floor with her \u2018jumper as a pillow.\u2019<\/p>\n \u2018You are only allowed two or three hours outside in the sun a day, occasionally longer if there are a lot of women in court that day,\u2019 Charlotte said.<\/p>\n \u2018I\u2019ve not eaten in two days because the food is just too spicy for me. I have told my lawyers \u2013 I have three of them \u2013 that I need different food. They said they would sort that but they still haven\u2019t. I don\u2019t know why.\u2019<\/p>\n The Briton has been able to speak with some of the women held on her wing who speak English, and even shared biscuits with them.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t A friend said Charlotte had been travelling in Thailand for her 21st\u00a0birthday last month.<\/p>\n She was said to have returned to the UK briefly before jetting off again.
