{"id":1191742,"date":"2026-09-07T17:13:16","date_gmt":"2026-09-07T17:13:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1191742\/"},"modified":"2026-09-07T17:13:16","modified_gmt":"2026-09-07T17:13:16","slug":"man-jailed-for-life-for-beating-flatmate-to-death-in-burmantofts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1191742\/","title":{"rendered":"Man jailed for life for beating flatmate to death in Burmantofts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">A man who beat his vulnerable flatmate to death in Leeds has been sentenced to life in prison.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Scott Silkstone, 51, subjected amputee Dwayne Tuohey to &#8220;extreme violence&#8221; on New Year&#8217;s Day using a range of weapons, including a prosthetic leg, crutch and a metal box, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Silkstone, of no fixed abode, dragged Tuohey from his flat and repeatedly stamped on him in public before leaving him unconscious and semi-naked near bins at Gargrave Court in Burmantofts.
