Willy Gnonto\u2019s time at Fiorentina is already on the rocks as the Leeds United<\/a> loanee\u2019s manager Fabio Grosso has been sacked.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In terms of incomings, there can be very little criticism thrown at the 49ers for the signings they made. But, in sanctioning several outgoings, the club didn\u2019t get optimal fees for permanent sales. Also, there\u2019s the issue of loaning out multiple assets in the meantime.<\/p>\n

One of those loans was Willy Gnonto<\/a>. He moved to Fiorentina on deadline day as Jean-Matteo Bahoya came in to take his place.<\/p>\n

The likelihood of Bahoya being bought permanently<\/a> by Leeds strongly indicates that Gnonto may not have a future at Leeds. <\/p>\n

So, starting well in Florence could be the beginning of a new chapter in his career. Initially on the bench against Lucas Perri\u2019s Torino, Gnonto made his debut as he came on at half-time. Instantly, he watched teammate Manuel Pellegrino squirm a tame shot from distance through Perri\u2019s grasp for the opener.<\/p>\n

However, it was Perri\u2019s Torino who\u2019d come away with victory through a screamer from Rolando Mandragora and an acrobatic winner from Che Adams.<\/p>\n

That result marks three successive defeats to start the Serie A season, and the La Viola board have seen enough. They have confirmed the decision to part ways with head coach Fabio Grosso, having only appointed him in June.<\/p>\n

Fabrizio Romano<\/a> reports Paolo Vanoli is set to take the reins in Grosso\u2019s place. Vanoli is the man that Grosso had actually replaced, after the 54-year-old guided La Viola to survival last season.<\/p>\n

Penny for Willy Gnonto\u2019s thoughts: Leeds United loanee facing uncertain season<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve always got to wonder how players feel when they join a club and instantly see the manager sacked that helped bring them here.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s like when we brought Max Wober and Weston McKennie to Leeds solely for Jesse Marsch, only to sack him shortly after. That suggests a recruitment setup not totally aligned with the man they have in the dugout.<\/p>\n

For Gnonto, it\u2019s far from the ideal scenario he finds himself in now. His opportunity to impress in Firenze remains the same, but the club are clearly not in a stable position where he can just get his head down and play.<\/p>\n

Hopefully, the replacement at Fiorentina has Gnonto firmly in his plans so he can show his talents off finally. The Serie A club can purchase Gnonto in an \u00a318million<\/a> total package, if they like what they see this season.<\/p>\n
