{"id":1192689,"date":"2026-09-08T05:36:33","date_gmt":"2026-09-08T05:36:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1192689\/"},"modified":"2026-09-08T05:36:33","modified_gmt":"2026-09-08T05:36:33","slug":"bristol-students-take-part-in-farm-experience-in-somerset-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1192689\/","title":{"rendered":"Bristol students take part in farm experience in Somerset"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  The four-day residential took place at Hill House Farm in Box, near Bath, and was part of the Jamie\u2019s Farm programme.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Students from years seven and eight from Lift Broadlands in Bristol spent the four-day visit caring for animals, preparing meals, chopping wood, and helping to renovate a beehive.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Jake Curtis, co-CEO of Jamie\u2019s Farm, said: &#8220;We were delighted to welcome back Lift Broadlands for a residential programme at Jamie\u2019s Farm.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;From our perspective, the partnership with Broadlands is the perfect model for how we like to work with our partner schools.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;The young people are always really well prepared and show real enthusiasm at getting stuck into challenging jobs and seeing how hard work can be enjoyable and rewarding.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Our working farm relies on the endeavour of our visiting young people to make it thrive, and this is the third occasion that Broadlands have been such effective members of our community.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;We are delighted to support Laura Stone and all the wonderful staff at Broadlands with the considerable efforts they are making day in, day out to provide amazing experiences for their pupils.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In addition to daily farm duties, students took part in horse therapy and team-building exercises, and explored the local area.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Evenings were spent sharing meals and reflecting on the day\u2019s activities.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The residential is part of Lift Broadlands&#8217;
