Liverpool are set to be a big player in this summer\u2019s transfer market, with moves already in the pipeline for the Reds.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to CaughtOffside<\/a>, Liverpool could make their own move to sign Ajax wonderkid Jorrel Hato after Chelsea opened talks to sign the 19-year-old defender, who looks set to leave the Dutch giants this summer.<\/p>\n

Hato has been linked with Liverpool<\/a> in recent weeks with the Netherlands international regarded by many as one of the best prospects in European football, with the versatile defender able to play as a centre-back or as a left-back.<\/p>\n

With Liverpool in the market for a young central defender, Hato ticks all the boxes Slot will be looking for in a player that can fill this requirement, especially with Jarell Quansah attracting interest from Premier League and Bundesliga clubs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And with Chelsea now in talks to sign Hato, this move from the Blues should wake Liverpool up to make their own move for the teenage defender, who could be the dream long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk as well as a potential world-class squad player in the years to come.<\/p>\n

Yet for Liverpool, allowing a talent as good as Hato to join a Premier League rival without putting up a fight will feel like a poor decision from supporters, especially when the Reds themselves need a player like the Ajax wonderkid.<\/p>\n
