A Channel 4<\/a> worker was found dead in the sea more than 100 miles from her home, an inquest has heard.<\/p>\n

Television librarian Lolita Visa, 32, was pulled from the sea off the coast of Llandudno in North Wales<\/a> on August 26.<\/p>\n

An inquest heard how she had travelled from her home in Halifax, West Yorkshire, to visit her father in Manchester<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She then went to Liverpool, where she sent a photo to her dad, before sending him another image from Llandudno on August 22.<\/p>\n

Her family, who had become worried, reported her as missing to West Yorkshire Police.<\/p>\n

North Wales Police were then contacted three days later before a member of the public called HM Coastguard reporting a body in the water the following day.<\/p>\n

Coroner John Gittins told the hearing: \u2018The deceased was brought aboard the lifeboat and transported to lifeboat station.\u2019<\/p>\n

A post-mortem examination found injuries described as being \u2018consistent with time submerged in water\u2019. The inquest has been adjourned to a date to be fixed.<\/p>\n

Visa worked as a Digital Media Librarian for Channel 4, having previously worked for streaming company Dazn, according to her LinkedIn profile.<\/p>\n

Her family has since launched a fundraiser to help cover the costs of her funeral and bring her body back to Latvia<\/a>, where she was from.<\/p>\n

Writing on the fundraising page, relative Wiktoria Januszewska said Visa\u2019s death had left the family \u2018heartbroken\u2019.<\/p>\n

She said: \u2018We were never prepared, or expected, for this to take place, and we are not in a financial place to be able to cover everything by ourselves.\u2019<\/p>\n

Wiktoria described Visa as \u2018bubbly and a joy to be around\u2019, adding that she \u2018had stories for days to share about her travels and where she has been\u2019.<\/p>\n

She added: \u2018If you knew Lolita, we hope you remember her for the person that she was and keep her memories close to you.<\/p>\n

\u2018Any donations will help, and if you\u2019re unable to donate, simply sharing her story so it reaches more people will help us,\u2019 Wiktoria said.<\/p>\n
