It could be your last chance to soak up the sunshine this week<\/a> as the weather is forecast to change ahead of the bank holiday weekend. After weeks of glorious weather, sadly a “marked change” has been forecast by the Met Office<\/a> for many parts of the UK.<\/p>\n The spring bank holiday will take place on Monday, May 26 and the forecast may come as bad news for thousands of people across Merseyside, and others heading into the city.<\/p>\n It comes as this weekend is set to be one of the biggest, busiest and most celebratory weekends<\/a> the region has ever seen, with a number of large scale events will all be held outdoors, meaning the weather<\/a> holding up will be a hope for many. The city will play host to BBC<\/a> Radio 1’s Big Weekend on Friday, May 23 until Sunday May 25.<\/p>\n Another huge event taking place outdoors will be the city welcoming back the Queen Anne Cruise Ship. She docks in Liverpool on Monday, May 26 – the same day close to a million people are expected to line the streets as Liverpool parade their 20th league title.<\/p>\n Thankfully, the forecast is looking much brighter today<\/a> – with it being possibly one of the last chances to soak up the sunshine this week before the bad weather hits.<\/p>\n Liverpool is forecast for a mostly sunny day with temperatures reaching highs of 19C, according to Met Office. Sunny intervals are forecast until 1pm, turning into a sunny day from 2pm until sunset at 9pm.<\/p>\n Forecasters have said the city can expect a clear night into Thursday morning. Below is the outlook for the North West according to meteorologists at the Met Office.<\/p>\n Today<\/p>\n Early mist and fog patches will soon clear to leave a largely dry day, with warm sunny spells. However, there is the chance of a few isolated showers breaking out in the south during the afternoon. Light winds. Maximum temperature 22 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n Tonight<\/p>\n Any showers fading by evening to give a dry night, with clear spells for many. Turning locally chilly. However, cloud will increase from the north towards dawn. Light winds. Minimum temperature 3 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n Thursday<\/p>\n A band of cloud and perhaps the odd spot of light rain moves southwards during Thursday morning. Becoming brighter with sunny spells developing by the afternoon. Feeling fresher. Light winds. Maximum temperature 18 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n Outlook for Friday to Sunday<\/p>\n After a chilly start, Friday will be dry with sunny spells. Cloud increasing from the west overnight to bring outbreaks of rain eastwards Saturday.
