On Tuesday, Joy Behar was on hand as \u201cThe View\u201d kicked off its 30th season!<\/p>\n
\u201cExtra\u201d spoke with Joy, who celebrated a major career milestone \u2014 she\u2019s officially hosted more seasons of an American talk show than any other woman.<\/p>\n
Joy kept it real, saying, \u201cIt seems rather long to me. You know, as I said on the air, I said to Barbara [Walters], \u2018We\u2019re going to get old on this show.\u2019 She said, \u2018We\u2019re going to get old anyway.\u2019 She was right.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI can\u2019t believe I beat Regis [Philbin] and the Jolly Green Giant and Oprah [Winfrey],\u201d Behar quipped. \u201cIt\u2019s 28 years because I was fired, you know, a couple of times. Then they begged me to come back.\u201d<\/p>\n
Behar said she feels like she\u2019s \u201cperforming some kind of service\u201d for the American people when she speaks her mind. She\u2019s always been outspoken on the daytime show while discussing hot topics.<\/p>\n
One of the big hot topics this week is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle\u2019s move back to the U.K.<\/p>\n
King Charles made it very clear in a letter distributed on Monday that the two will remain private citizens, despite their return.<\/p>\n
Behar weighed in on Charles\u2019 letter, saying, \u201cBoy, he holds a grudge.\u201d<\/p>\n
Harry and Meghan were \u201ca little surprised\u201d by Charles\u2019 letter and weren\u2019t informed about it \u201cin advance,\u201d according to their spokesperson.<\/p>\n
Behar asked, \u201cCan’t they have a minute where they don’t want to be royals and then come back to be royals?\u201d<\/p>\n
According to Joy, Harry\u2019s mom Princess Diana would have done things differently! She noted, \u201cDiana would have never let that happen if she were around.
