{"id":119607,"date":"2025-05-21T11:03:05","date_gmt":"2025-05-21T11:03:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/119607\/"},"modified":"2025-05-21T11:03:05","modified_gmt":"2025-05-21T11:03:05","slug":"indonesia-launches-geothermal-communication-book-to-encourage-better-public-awareness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/119607\/","title":{"rendered":"Indonesia launches Geothermal Communication Book to encourage better public awareness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Indonesia-communication-book-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Indonesia launches Geothermal Communication Book to encourage better public awareness\" title=\"Indonesia launches Geothermal Communication Book to encourage better public awareness\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><br \/>\n                    Geothermal Public Communication Book (source: SRE)<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\" style=\"margin: 0px 0px 20px 0px; line-height: 24px;\">Indonesian agencies have published the &#8220;Geothermal Public Communications Book&#8221; to improve public understanding of geothermal and engage with young generations.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sre.co.id\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Society of Renewable Energy<\/a> (SRE) in partnership with Indonesia\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esdm.go.id\/en\/profile\/duties-functions\/directorate-general-of-new-renewable-energy-and-energy-conservation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources<\/a> (ESDM) has launched a Geothermal Public Communication Book, which seeks to promote public understanding of geothermal in a form that is easy to understand, especially for young people.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Geothermal Public Communication Book<\/strong> (in Bahasa Indonesia) can be accessed <a href=\"https:\/\/greenimpact.id\/research\/buku-komunikasi-panas-bumi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">via this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The book was launched in an event held in Jakarta. In attendance at the book launch were representatives from geothermal operators PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy and PT Geo Dipa Energy, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, local journalists, and about a hundred students.<\/p>\n<p>In his speech during the event, Zagy Yakana Berian, Founder of SRE, emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration and the involvement of the younger generation in promoting the use of clean energy and realizing national energy security. \u201cWe want clean energy to be a shared property, driven by the community and young people from various campuses throughout Indonesia,\u201d said Zagy.<\/p>\n<p>Kiki Iswara, CEO of Indonesian publication Rakyat Merdeka (RM) also expressed the importance of effective communication to enhance the public acceptance of geothermal energy. \u201cDon\u2019t let it be because the information is not delivered or not amplified, the public misunderstands,\u201d he said during his speech.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith good communication, young people will be more interested in developing geothermal energy which has great potential and creates a lot of green,\u201d Kiki further added. \u201cThese young people know how to simplify complex issues to make them easy to understand.
