Dust off your walking shoes and get ready to rack up that step count, folks \u2013 because London<\/a> has just been named one of the most walkable cities in the world<\/strong>. The on-foot aficionados over at GuruWalk (who offer some pretty step-tacular free walking tour guides) decided to rank 100 cities across the globe<\/strong>, to decipher which of them are the very best to have a wander around.<\/p>\n

Using data from their website, GuruWalk<\/strong> looked at the number of pageviews each city had gotten, and then cross-referenced those findings with booking trends. This gave them the information that they needed in order to rank the 100 most walkable cities<\/a> in the world. And \u2013 as you may have guessed \u2013 London<\/strong> didn\u2019t do too badly at all.<\/p>\n

London was, in fact, crowned the most walkable destination in the UK<\/strong>, being the only city in the country to make the top ten. Perched rather comfortably at number seven, London climbed two spots from where it was sat on last year\u2019s list, and was praised for its many great areas to have a lovely leisurely stroll<\/strong> around.<\/p>\n

With the abundance of glorious green spaces<\/a>, plethora of pedestrianised areas, and the many markets<\/a> to mosey around in London; it comes as no surprise to us that our capital city<\/strong> has (almost) topped the charts. And look, just because we Londoners find it difficult to walk at less than 40mph everywhere we go; it doesn\u2019t mean we\u2019re not enjoying the journey, you know?<\/p>\n
