Abdurrahman Summers, 18, and two 15-year-old boys were convicted at Birmingham Crown Court of murdering the 17-year-old<\/p>\n

This is the first picture of a teenage killer who was today convicted of murdering a younger boy at a vape shop.<\/p>\n

Abdurrahman Summers, 18, and two 15-year-old boys who cannot be named, chased and repeatedly stabbed 17-year-old Reuben Higgins in the leg, arm and chest at Vape Minimarket in Marston Green, Solihull<\/a>, shortly after 6pm on October 29 last year.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police released a mugshot of Summers after the three were convicted of murder at Birmingham<\/a> Crown Court today, Wednesday, May 21.<\/p>\n

When the verdicts were read out in court, Summers, from Yardley<\/a>, stood up and shouted ‘what bro?’<\/p>\n

He added: “Manz never done nothing, I’m f***ing innocent bro, I never touched anyone. I ain’t going down for murder. D********”<\/p>\n

A fourth suspect fled the country and is still wanted by officers in connection with Reuben’s death.<\/p>\n

The trio will be sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court on August 5.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Reuben’s family said: “No sentence is going to provide justice for the evil that was committed against Reuben.<\/p>\n

“Reuben was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin, who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Life will never be the same without him.<\/p>\n

“We would like to thank the jury, the prosecution and the homicide team from West Midlands Police<\/a> for all their efforts and work in bringing justice for Reuben.\u201d<\/p>\n

Det Insp Michelle Cordell, who led the homicide investigation, said: \u201cThis was a cowardly and sickening attack on a young defenceless boy who was significantly outnumbered.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir callous actions that day ended Reubens life in a matter of seconds.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir senseless behaviour has had a devastating and lifelong impact on Reuben\u2019s family, friends and loved ones and my thought remain with them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope that today\u2019s verdicts offer some comfort, as they continue to grieve and as they try to rebuild their lives.<\/p>\n
