{"id":121040,"date":"2025-05-21T23:25:09","date_gmt":"2025-05-21T23:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/121040\/"},"modified":"2025-05-21T23:25:09","modified_gmt":"2025-05-21T23:25:09","slug":"postecoglou-sack-voted-on-by-keane-as-pundit-aims-dig-at-arsenal-after-tottenham-win-europa-league","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/121040\/","title":{"rendered":"Postecoglou sack voted on by Keane as pundit aims dig at Arsenal after Tottenham win Europa League"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Roy Keane aimed a dig at Arsenal after Tottenham beat Manchester United in the Europa League final and had his say on whether Spurs should sack Ange Postecoglou.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/tag\/brennan-johnson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brennan Johnson<\/a><\/strong> scored the only goal of the game at the San Mames to end Spurs\u2019 17-year wait for a trophy and secure a spot in the Champions League next season.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson\u2019s darting run into the six-yard box caught Shaw on his heels at the end of the first half as he attempted to divert Pape Matar Sarr\u2019s cross in, with the ball rebounding off Shaw and past Andre Onana.<\/p>\n<p>Postecoglou\u2019s side have endured a miserable domestic campaign, with an incredible 21 defeats in 37 games meaning they\u2019re currently <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/premier-league\/table\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">17th in the Premier League with just one game to play<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The fans won\u2019t care about that right now and will be delighted to hear Manchester United legend Keane aiming a dig at Arsenal while claiming \u201cthey certainly were not Spursy\u201d on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpurs have won more than Arsenal this season,\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/tag\/roy-keane\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Keane<\/a><\/strong> said on CBS Sports. \u201cWhen you think of the clubs out there, Spurs get criticised as much as anyone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey certainly were not Spursy. This season there\u2019s no doubt they\u2019ve had injuries, but the injuries come, I think, on the back of his style of play.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s very intense, very on the front foot; he doesn\u2019t change, and I think his press conferences are probably more entertaining than the team this season. Even yesterday, on the eve of a European final, he was still going at people and being on the front foot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI haven\u2019t been a manager, and I know sometimes I\u2019d probably be like that with reporters, but it\u2019s every game.
