2<\/p>\n Adil Ray could be facing the axe on Good Morning BritainCredit: Rex 2<\/p>\n Amid cost-cutting measures, his job is understood to be in jeopardyCredit: Rex<\/p>\n The presenter is expected to be axed from the line-up, according to the MailOnline<\/a>.<\/p>\n Cutbacks at ITV<\/a> have seen fellow daytime programmes Lorraine<\/a> and Loose Women<\/a> slashed and while GMB’s run time has not been affected, it appears that some of its hosts, including Adil, face uncertain futures.<\/p>\n Adil has long been a stand-in host on the programme and regularly fronts the summer holidays alongside Ranvir Singh<\/a> and Charlotte Hawkins<\/a>, both of whom have been with the show since its beginning.<\/p>\n Moreover, over the past 12 months, Adil has been a rotating Friday host with Kate Garraway<\/a> following Ben Shepherd’s show departure.<\/p>\n Insiders told the Mail that ITV<\/a> execs held a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the drastic changes where Adil’s axing was understood to have been discussed.<\/p>\n The Sun has contacted ITV for comment.<\/p>\n His time on air has not been without its controversy, with Adil finding himself making headlines whilst on the show.<\/p>\n Earlier this year, viewers vowed to call Ofcom after they accused Adil of ‘fat-shaming’ darts<\/a> legend, Luke Littler.<\/p>\n Lorraine\u00a0and\u00a0Loose Women\u00a0are the biggest victims<\/a>\u00a0of the schedule changes with both set to air for only 30 weeks of the year from January.<\/p>\n Presenter\u00a0Lorraine Kelly’s daily show<\/a>\u00a0has seen its running time slashed by 30 minutes as bosses extend\u00a0Good Morning Britain<\/a>‘s slot to run from 6am until 9.30am.<\/p>\n GMB host Adil Ray ‘fat shames Luke Littler live on TV’<\/p>\n It is understood that celebs across all the shows have voiced their concerns about their jobs being up in the air.<\/p>\n The Sun told today how staff were understood to be blindsided by the announcements.<\/p>\n One insider told us: “Everyone was completely blindsided, it was a total shock and people are feeling very deflated because nobody saw this coming – viewing figures are actually up for Lorraine and Loose Women has been scooping awards recently.<\/p>\n “Staff are really panicking about their jobs – many have worked at daytime for decades and are completely heartbroken.<\/p>\n “There’s now a scramble for who will wait for a payout and who wants to stay.”<\/p>\n Some 220\u00a0jobs\u00a0will be lost as part of shake-up – around half of all the people working across GMB,\u00a0Lorraine<\/a>,\u00a0This Morning\u00a0and Loose Women.<\/p>\n While it’s predominantly production and backroom staff taking the fall, we can reveal some on-screen talent are already looking for new career opportunities to beat the axe.<\/p>\n Not all of Loose Women’s 26-strong\u00a0pool\u00a0of presenters and panellists, which includes\u00a0Denise Welch<\/a>,\u00a0Christine Lampard<\/a>,\u00a0Coleen Nolan<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Charlene White<\/a>, will be required with the new seasonal schedule.<\/p>\n “Hosts will have their salary cut as they are paid per episode on Loose Women,” said the insider. “There are real fears some of the stars could quit because it’s a significant drop in income for them.”<\/p>\n Good Morning Britain presenters<\/p>\n Current presenters:<\/p>\n![\"Adil](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/adil-ray-good-morning-britain-888815669.jpg\")
