Metallica<\/a> have announced new UK and European dates for their ongoing \u2018M72\u2019 tour for 2026. Find all the details below.<\/p>\n

The metal icons\u2019 lengthy trek will continue into a fourth year, having begun the record-breaking run of shows in 2023<\/a>. They come in support of the band\u2019s 11th and latest studio album, \u201972 Seasons\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Next May, Metallica are due to hit the road for a string of huge stadium gigs in Athens, Bucharest, Chorz\u00f3w, Frankfurt, Zurich, Berlin, Bologna and Budapest.<\/p>\n

Then, in June, they\u2019ll return to the UK and Ireland for performances in Dublin, Glasgow and Cardiff, before playing two nights at the London Stadium on July 3 and 5.<\/p>\n

It\u2019ll mark the group\u2019s first live shows in Frankfurt and Dublin since 2009\u2019s World Magnetic Tour.<\/p>\n

Metallica will continue their \u2018No Repeat Weekends\u2019 tradition for next year\u2019s \u2018M72\u2019 tour, with each night of the two-concert stands featuring entirely different setlists and support line-ups.<\/p>\n

The single-date shows, meanwhile, are set to bring the tour\u2019s full production and massive in-the-round stage to fans.<\/p>\n

Opening sets on the 2026 UK and European \u2018M72\u2019 tour will come from Gojira<\/a>, Pantera<\/a>, Knocked Loose<\/a> and Avatar.<\/p>\n

Two-night tickets for the \u2018No Repeat Weekends\u2019 and single-night tickets go on general sale at 10am BST next Friday (May 30). You\u2019ll be able to buy yours here<\/a> (UK and Ireland) and here<\/a> (Europe).<\/p>\n

The fanclub pre-sales will begin at 11am next Tuesday (May 27) \u2013 visit here for more information<\/a>. A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will go to local charities via the band\u2019s All Within My Hands foundation.<\/p>\n

In a four-star review of Metallica\u2019s \u2018M72\u2019 tour opener in Amsterdam<\/a>, NME wrote: \u201cMetallica have always been a gateway band for heavy music, but there\u2019s a renewed excitement around them now. Tonight\u2019s surprising, ambitious and giddy gig matches that energy at every turn.<\/p>\n

Metallica are currently out on the 2025 North American leg<\/a> of their \u2018M72\u2019 tour, which kicked off last month. In March, they announced an \u201cimmersive\u201d new VR concert film<\/a>, shot in Mexico City.<\/p>\n
