The transfer window always provides obstacles, and it seems as though Leeds United are facing their first one.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Daniel Farke<\/a> will know it won\u2019t be a smooth ride this window, and ruthless decisions will need to be made.<\/p>\n

In terms of incomings though, Paraag Marathe has promised to be \u2018aggressive\u2019<\/a> in a bid to keep Leeds<\/a> in the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But the owner needs to put his words into actions and with the window still in its early stages there will be no rush.<\/p>\n

However, this might not be the case as one deal looks to provide a major threat to a key target for the Whites.<\/p>\n

With James McAtee<\/a> being a main target for the 49ers<\/a> this summer, many elements are involved with the deal.<\/p>\n

Fans see McAtee as a \u2018statement signing\u2019<\/a>, as Leeds have reignited their interest following January\u2019s pursuit.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s said that Man City want \u00a335m for McAtee<\/a>, who has impressed for City but still doesn\u2019t seem to have convinced Pep Guardiola.<\/p>\n

This all looks good for Leeds, but now a major factor has come under the spotlight, which could see McAtee\u2019s transfer fail.<\/p>\n

Liverpool are interested in Bayer Leverkusen\u2019s Florian Wirtz as a \u00a3126m deal (SkySports<\/a>) could come to fruition for Arne Slot\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

How this might link to Leeds will be questioned but McAtee could actually be a key reason in this deal.<\/p>\n

With Wirtz being an irreplaceable figure in Leverkusen\u2019s squad after 32 goal involvements this season, the German side will need a replacement, and according to Florian Plettenberg, this could be McAtee.<\/p>\n

This doesn\u2019t come as too much of a shock with Bayer Leverkusen showing previous interest in McAtee<\/a>, but what it does mean is that Leeds will have to act quickly and try to convince the 22-year-old to stay in the Premier League, before Liverpool wrap up this extraordinary signing.<\/p>\n

For \u00a335m, it would no doubt make a dent in Leeds\u2019 \u00a3100m+ transfer kitty<\/a>.<\/p>\n
