{"id":122770,"date":"2025-05-22T14:42:15","date_gmt":"2025-05-22T14:42:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/122770\/"},"modified":"2025-05-22T14:42:15","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T14:42:15","slug":"man-stole-laptops-cash-and-designer-clothes-in-bristol-burglary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/122770\/","title":{"rendered":"Man stole laptops, cash and designer clothes in Bristol burglary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hussain-Butt stole items worth over \u00a37,000<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/0_8342JPG.jpg\" alt=\"Manawar Hussain-Butt\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Manawar Hussain-Butt(Image: Avon and Somerset Police )<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A man has been jailed for two years after stealing laptops, a credit card, jeweller and designer clothes from a house in Bristol.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Manawar Hussain-Butt, of Colliers Gardens in Blackwell, near Nailsea, pleaded guilty to burglary and handling stolen goods.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The 42-year-old was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court yesterday, Wednesday, May 21.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Hussain-Butt entered a property in the St George area of the city on July 13, 2023 where he stole a number of items.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">He took \u00a37,502 worth of property, which included included two laptops, a credit card, gold jewellery, a bin bag of high-value designer clothes and \u00a3450 in cash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">He then also stole a a Citro\u00ebn Relay van and power tools on February 13 of this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Some of the stolen items were found and returned to the victim.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Hussain-Butt was jailed for two years and two months, sentenced to a total custodial period of 117 weeks for the offences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Neighbourhood officer PC Joe Reed said: \u201cThese types of offences are devastating to victims and can cause long-lasting emotional and psychological effects, not to mention the irreparable damage that can be caused to businesses and livelihoods.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cThis sentence demonstrates our commitment to tackling theft, burglary and bringing offenders to justice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Avon and Somerset Police said: &#8220;Manawar Hussain-Butt, aged 42, of Colliers Gardens, Backwell, pleaded guilty to burglary and handling stolen goods and was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday 21 May).<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;On 13 July 2023, Hussain-Butt entered a property in the St George area of Bristol and stole property valued at \u00a37,502, which included two laptops, a credit card, gold jewellery, a bin bag of high-value designer clothes and \u00a3450 in cash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Hussain-Butt stole a Citro\u00ebn Relay van and power tools on 13 February this year.
