The Friends of Middleton Park<\/strong><\/a> are hosting a free guided walk in Middleton Park on Sunday (25 May 2025) exploring \u2018The Ghosts of Buildings Past\u2019.<\/p>\n Historically Middleton Park was a busy landscape, with many people living and working within its boundaries. It played host to many industrial and residential buildings, even a whole village and a country house!<\/p>\n Many may fondly remember the old Cafe, and the old Golf House, but a stranger would not realise the number of lost buildings from a casual walk around the park. There are few signs that many of these buildings were ever here, but we will try and find what indications there are. As we go round we will try and tell some of their stories, their beginnings and their ends.<\/p>\n Join us at 1:30pm this Sunday (25 May) at the Visitor Centre in the park, there\u2019s no need to book. The walk will last about one and a half hours. Walks in the park may often include muddy or wet wooodland paths, so please wear boots or walking shoes, and appropriate clothing for the weather.
