Moore is paid \u00a3468,000 ($628,000).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Holland development, as well <a data-id=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/05\/netflix-anne-mensah-bbc-content-chief-1236393466\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/05\/netflix-anne-mensah-bbc-content-chief-1236393466\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Netflix UK chief Anne Mensah ruling herself out<\/a>, has cemented <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/kate-phillips\/\" id=\"auto-tag_kate-phillips\" data-tag=\"kate-phillips\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kate Phillips<\/a>\u2018 position as the candidate to beat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPhillips, the BBC\u2019s unscripted boss and interim chief content officer, has the support of many colleagues at the corporation, while a number of powerful producers are pulling for her to get the job.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSources said Phillips is skillfully caretaking in the content chief role as Moore prepares to leave the BBC\u2019s New Broadcasting House headquarters next week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBBC Studios Productions CEO Zai Bennett was thought to be the third strong contender for the job. Others linked include Tom McDonald, the New York-based executive vice president of Nat Geo,\u00a0and Dan McGolpin, the director of iPlayer and channels.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOthers have ruled themselves out. This includes\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/jay-hunt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jay Hunt<\/a>, Apple TV+\u2019s boss in Europe, and Channel 4\u2019s content supremo Ian Katz. Sources said Apple executive Alison Kirkham was considered, but is said to be happy in her current role. Liam Keelan, Disney\u2019s former EMEA originals chief, is not in the running.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/04\/bbc-headhunters-chief-content-officer-charlotte-moore-1236370705\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Headhunters Grace Blue and Ibison<\/a>\u00a0have helped steer the BBC recruitment process, with director general Tim Davie taking a personal interest. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMoore <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/02\/bbc-charlotte-moore-quits-left-bank-sony-1236303440\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">is stepping down<\/a>\u00a0as chief content officer after four years to join Left Bank Pictures as CEO.
