Point of sale notices in shops that sell the product show customers why the crisps are being recalled and what to do next.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who thinks they may have purchased the crisps recently has been warned &#8220;do not eat&#8221; the product due to a life-threatening labelling error. The Food Standards Agency stated: &#8220;This product contains milk and soya, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" title=\"Allergy\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/allergy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">allergy<\/a> or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and\/or an allergy to soya.&#8221; These allergens were not labelled in English on the packaging.<\/p>\n<p>Product details<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ruffles Sabor a Jamon Crisps<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pack size: 150g<\/li>\n<li>Batch codes: All<\/li>\n<li>Best before: All best-before dates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This allergy alert is specific to Northern Ireland and Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>Shoppers should return the product to the store from where it was bought for a full refund, even if they do not have a receipt.<\/p>\n<p>Anaphylaxis UK provides important information for those affected by a milk or soya allergy.<\/p>\n<p>There are two types of milk and soya allergies: immediate and delayed. With immediate reactions, symptoms can be mild or moderate, but in some cases, they can cause anaphylaxis.<\/p>\n<p>Mild to moderate symptoms of both allergic reactions include a red raised rash (known as hives or urticaria) anywhere on the body; a tingling or itchy feeling in the mouth; swelling of lips, face or eyes; and stomach pain or vomiting.<\/p>\n<p>Anaphylaxis is a more serious reaction involving difficulty breathing or affecting the heart rhythm or blood pressure.
